Too Expensive For Condition of Rooms - posted on 10/20/2006
Overall - very disappointed in the condition of the rooms, especially considering we paid $* a night. The entertainment center had rottening wood where the refrigerator sat - the refrig's door wouldn't close all the way and did not cool down drinks. The tile in the bathroom was peeling. Also, had requested a king size bed and instead on arriving was given a room with 2 full size beds. When we asked for what we had originally requested we were told it was this or nothing. I would not return to this hotel - the cost is too high for a hotel whose quality is too low.
Needs remodel badly - posted on 10/08/2006
This place has been going down hill badly over the past 3 years. The hotel looks and smells bad, should have been remodeled a long time ago.
A Total Disgrace - posted on 09/06/2006
This hotel is in sad shape. Too many things to list. Don't stay here unless you just care about a cheap rate.

I was able to get this for quite a reasonable price considering where it is located across from a mall and within walking distance. I always feel safe at this hotel. The management is always very accommodating. I try to stay here every time I visit Albuquerque which is about once a month or more.

This hotel should get 1 star..not three....it is dirty, old, and uninviting, Needs a complete renovation
Wait for the reno - posted on 03/31/2006
Pluses: Helpful front desk and amazingly comfortable beds. A large board in the lobby touts the "coming" renovations. Minuses: The lobby wreaks of stale cigarette smoke from the adjacent bar. Carpet down the hallway of the 5th floor is old, buckled and wavy. The walls in our guest room had no baseboards only a thick coat of dirt anywhere the carpet met the wall. Bath area in dire need of a total remodel.

Great Location - posted on 09/19/2005
I thought this hotel was quite nice, though the lobby is awkwardly setup with the front desk tucked in the corner
Great accomodation! - posted on 04/23/2005
The building is old but Sheraton is maintaining the facility well. The service was excellent. The room was pleasent and beds were so comfortable to sleep in, exactly as Sheraton's advertisment. For the price, it provides amzing quality.

This has to be the worst Sheraton i have stayed at. The picture must have been twenty years ago. The Bed was lumpy, The sheets were stained and the carpet was so filthy i was afraid to take off my shoes.
Don't Stay Here - posted on 12/16/2004
This hotel is in desperate need of a rennovation. It is not up to Sheraton standards and doesn't deserve a 3-star rating. The carpet in the rooms and common areas is dirty and worn. The overall condition seems poorly kept and unclean. Staff said they are doing to do a rennovation and they know it is a problem.
Uptown - Down And Out - posted on 10/12/2004
The only positives in our Albuquerque Sheraton Uptown experience were that checking in and out was rapid and easy, the hotel is conveniently located for restaurants and shopping, and the room was large with a comfortable bed. Unfortunately the rest of the experience was not good. While large, the room was shabby. The hallways were dark and the carpet stained. Here are a few specifics: the bathtub did not drain; the grouting was falling out of the tiles; the handle of the balcony door was broken, and the drapes were falling off the rail and would not open and close. For all the spaciousness of the room, the bathroom was cramped. The tub was so narrow that it was impossible to use the shower without having the shower curtain draped down your side. To make matters worse housekeeping was a hit and miss affair. One day our room was not made up at all. Calling down for service resulted in the arrival of a poor little worker with a worried look and a pile of towels which he handed us when we opened the door. During the stay housekeeping failed to replace the coffee supplies twice, the shower mat once, and left an extra sheet and a pillowslip in the room on two separate occasions. To add insult to injury the housekeeping staff continually shouted to each other in the corridor. It was a mystery to us to be charged $20 per night more than the rate posted on the back of the door, other than being gouged during Balloon Fiesta Week. For the gouging one would expect some reference to the Fiesta at the Hotel, a poster, perhaps a special Balloon Happy Hour, or something, but there was none. Only the gouge. Shall we come back and stay at the Abq. Sheraton Uptown again? Not likely! The Abq. Sheraton Uptown is long overdue for redecoration if not remodeling. For $189 a night in Albuquerque I expect comfort and a little sparkle. I got neither. Regards, Helen Farrell
