My stay at the hotel was very enjoyable. The staff at the desk were very courteous and professional. I will stay at your hotel again.
Pleasantly surprised - posted on 03/06/2007
This is a perfect hotel for families - close to Old Town and museums, zoo and aquarium. (The hotel will shuttle you to the areas mentioned) Outdoor pool contained in warm bubble, which the kids thought was wonderful. I didn't like the look of the water, so I didn't go in the pool. Clean rooms, parking lot locked in evenings, accommodating staff.

Their shuttle ran each hour on the hour so you might wait at airport (no courtesy phone for this hotel). Free breakfast was fair. Key cards were a challenge. Weather was cool so no crowd in the pool which was heated.
hot & cold - posted on 08/24/2006
Greeted warmly, even though late at night. In fact, was offered a free room upgrade. What most impressed me was the property security. Some might say that having to use your room key to enter the building might be a downfall, but it made me feel secure. The restaurant was very good, though the 2 times I ate there, they seemed to be a bit short-staffed, so service was slow. Finally, the water temperature was not constant, so when taking a shower you had to be mindful that the water could go very cold or very hot quite suddenly.

Staff totally indifferent when air conditioning in room did not work and could not be repaired. Hotel management and national Best Western wrote kiss off letters when I complained.
Pleasant Rooms Great Location - posted on 08/01/2006
This is a regular hotel for us and our two children. The rooms are pleasant & clean and the location is convenient. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Slightly disappointing - posted on 07/08/2006
Location was very convinient, but the hallways and rooms were dated and in need of repair and deep cleaning. Pool was small and too busy. They also said the complimentary breakfast was not included in our booking,

Overall, I was very pleased with the hotel. The staff was very courteous. A restaurant in the hotel had good food and reasonable prices.
Good Hotel - posted on 04/18/2006
The Best Western Rio Grande Inn is a good hotel (not great but good) with an excellent location - within one block of I-40 and two miles of I-25. It is also within easy walking distance of old town. The rooms were clean and the service staff were helpful and polite. My only complaint is the kitchen staff was very slow getting orders out. Spent four days at this hotel.

We love thisplace. Been coming here for the last 5 years ,always in Sept. From here we can explore the state and still have a great hotel to come back to. Always friendly and helpful to us. Great location!!!
Water Issues - posted on 03/17/2006
I liked so much about this hotel except that they are under construction and worked in the middle of the night and we had cold water for showering. I am sure it will be nice when construction is over.

Close to Old Town, a supermarket, what more could you ask? There was a nice pool and a free business center... I'd go back.
No King for You - posted on 11/20/2005
I made a reservation for a King bed. When I checked in, not only did they not have any Kings left, the lady at the desk said I had to pay the higher cost, since "that's what the system makes me do." Unsatisfactory. 3-4 block walk to Old Town was convenient as was access to I-40.

Excellent shuttle service to and from anywhere in Albuquerque the drivers were the greatest they were always willing to go at any moment. Rooms were very clean with all the amenities. Great menu for eating in and excellent service even on the free breakfast buffet. All in all a wonderful place to stay and just 3 blocks from all the great shopping in Old Town. We'll be back! Wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Southwest decor and lovely pool - posted on 08/09/2005
We spent three nights here, exploring ABQ. We loved the clean, Southwest-themed rooms with all the helpful things: hairdryer, iron, soaps, etc. The breakfast is free, but to get a really interesting meal, we ordered off the restaurant b'fast menu. Pool is private, clean and stocked with towels. We enjoyed walking three blocks to Old Town for dinner and shopping. A Starbucks is next door--yum! Would recommend to anyone.
