The pet-friendly Residence Inn by Marriott Wayne comprises 119 suites equally suited to the business traveler or families on vacation. The suites at this four-story, non-smoking hotel all have fully equipped kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas. Items included in the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, midweek social hours, a weekly barbecue, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking, a morning newspaper and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. Corporate offices close to the inn include JVC, Toys R Us, BP, GAF, Konica Minolta, Bayer Pharmaceuticals, BAE and Becton Dickinson. There is one room available for business or social functions that can accommodate 12 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include William Paterson University, Montclair State University, St. Joseph's Hospital, three golf courses and shopping at the Willowbrook Mall.

Travelers to Wayne enjoyed their stay at this new Residence Inn. They liked the prices, the location close to shopping and restaurants and said the staff here were friendly, efficient and solved problems quickly. Many enjoyed the weekly barbecues and indoor heated swimming pool. There were some complaints from Residence Inn regulars that the free breakfast was no up to standard and they did not like the plastic cutlery.
