Customer Reviews for Sheraton Newark Airport Hotel

Great for students - posted on 03/29/2006

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It was great for large student groups. We spent our time in the pool area and in the game area. The workers were nice and it was overall a good experiance.

Newark Sheraton - posted on 01/29/2006

I came to this hotel with a group of about 40 high school students and 10 chaperones. They accomodated us very nicely, and we never disturbed any of the other guests with our size. They made a delicious breakfast for us every morning, with a lot left over. If you were visiting New York City, this is a great hotel for large groups. It's only really about a half hour, maybe 45 minutes drive into Manhattan, and about ten minutes away from the airport, which is very reasonable.

GOOD CHOICE - posted on 07/13/2005

I totally enjoyed my stay at the Sheraton Hotel. The room was clean, confortable. Although, the room service price was a little steep the service was fast and the food taste great. The pool area is well kept and the workers are extremely helpful. This is a great place for a weekend get a way with that special someone.

Poor service and bad smell - posted on 03/15/2007

Hotel was poorly maintained. When it rains, the ceilings leak which has resulted in mold and smell everywhere. The rooms were damp and smelly. If you have allergies or asthma, you do not want to stay here. The banquets were poorly done. The service was the lowest I have ever experienced in any hotel ever. I would not recommend this hotel--which is unfortunate because Sheraton is a fairly reliable family of hotels...Not this one!

Poor Service - posted on 11/29/2006

When we checked in the person at the desk didn't seem to know what he was doing. We callled the desk for 20 minutes before finally getting an answer. Our wake-up call never happened. I've stayed at this hotel many times in the past but will not stay there again. The bathroom was not well maintained - loose tile, etc.

Great place to stay - posted on 11/13/2006

My son and I stayed here for 2 nights when going to NYC. We had the best experience-gameroom, pool, helpful staff, room. It was a great time.

A Night at the Sheraton - posted on 08/10/2006

Quick check-in. Friendly staff. Clean rooms but sadly, no fluffy Sheraton bed here - hard with awful pillows. Lobby smells strongly of chlorine from pool. Noise from pool echos thru atrium. Kids filled the jacuzzi so we didn't get to try it. Room doors need better insulation from noise. Good service in restaurants.

Passable - posted on 08/04/2006

The location of the hotel is convenient and the staff is friendly and helpful. However, the facility is in need of remodelling and refurbishing. The carpeting in the hallways and in our room was stained and very worn. Our dinner at the restaurant was good, but again the general appearance of the furniture and carpeting detracted from the culinary experience.

Memorial Day Get-a-Way!! - posted on 05/31/2006

Loved the hotel...but the pool was very cold, for an indoor pool. I was told it was heated, so I was excited to put my 3 year old in there...come to find out it was FREEZING...we couldn't go swimming.
