This was my second stay in the Candlewood Suites and this time was a lot better. Either because customer service wasn't a bad, as last time. Or because I knew what to expect.

Good value for the money. Free parking, kitchen w dishes and fridge.

Location is not the most convenient.

When we arrived, we asked for an upgrade to the room and they had no problem doing that. When we checked out we wanted to spend the day in New York City and they allowed us to keep our car in their parking lot until we left. Had a great experience Would definitely stay there again.

They were very accommodating to our needs.

Candlewood Suites Jersey City is "the only all suites hotel in the heart of the financial district of Jersey City". Located between the Exchange Place and Pavonia/Newport PATH railway system stations, this hotel is only a short ride away from downtown New York City. Jersey City is full of quaint bars, has a rising artist community, and has attracted a large number of young singles and families. It does have its dingy sections, but they're easily avoided. Candlewood Suites is close to Teterboro Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport, Hoboken Terminal and ferries to downtown Manhattan. Families can enjoy Liberty Science Center and Liberty State Park, or can journey out to the Statue of Liberty herself.

This hotel got excellent reviews from past guests. It's spacious and clean, with good value for the money. The location is prime for those who want to visit or work in New York City, without the Manhattan price. This is also a good location for business travelers due to the proximity to the Financial Districts in both Jersey City and downtown New York. If going out at night, be careful and stay alert; the neighborhood isn't terrible, but there are spotty areas. Overall, this hotel is a good pick for value outside of the Big Apple.
