First time in the big city - hotel exceeded my expectations since it was the most affordable hotel in town we were not sure what we were going to get - ended up being very nice and worth the extra time to get into New York.

Friendly staff, great breakfast, clean and comfortable room - only a block from the Subway - we enjoyed it.

No parking available so expect to spend more per day for parking.

The Ramada Limited Jersey City is located just a short distance from New York City. Near the Journal Square PATH station, travelers can reach downtown New York City in under ten minutes, and midtown in about fifteen minutes. This hotel isn't in the best neighborhood, so be cautious when going out. For fun, visit nearby attractions like the Statue of Liberty and Liberty State Park, or journey into the city to see the Empire State Building, Wall Street, or other popular stops. The Ramada Limited Jersey City has a fitness center, but doesn't have a restaurant; there are lots of places to eat in the neighborhood, however, with world-class cuisine near Exchange Place. Use the bus or train to get around, since it's cheaper and easier than moving your car.

This is a pretty good budget hotel. Though it has received low marks from tourists for the somewhat crusty surroundings, it's still a good deal for those who aren't expecting the lap of luxury. There have been past problems with dirty rooms and beds, but future visits have shown improvement, with many guests saying that they would return. People have actually expressed surprise, saying that the hotel surpassed their expectations. For a cheap New York City area stay, the Ramada Limited Jersey City may have what you're looking for.
