Great place for busienss travelers. Stove, microwave and 3/4 size fridge. Wireless access for $5 bucks a stay is worthwhile and worked well. An excellent value in the NY/NJ area and close enough to Manhattan to be a viable plcae for trips to NYC if you don't need to stay in the city.

Refrigerator and kitchen - wireless internet worth $5 bucks a stay.

Not much - was what I expected of this star level.

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was very friendly and responsive. I actually liked the idea that the towels were only change out every 3-4 days. It is an extended stay hotel, most people do not use a towel only once while they are at home. How difficult is it to hang it up to dry after you use it?

I felt very comfortable at this hotel.

The car gate key did not work every time, I had to get the person behind me touse theirs.

Homestead Suites in East Rutherford, NJ is a great place for the long term traveler to call home, as long as you aren't looking for rustic scenery or small-town living. This hotel is located on a major NJ highway, about 20 mins. outside NYC. Near the Meadowlands Sports Complex, which includes a racetrack and football stadium, it's perfect for sports fans. Kick back in the spacious dining area, get to work in the office space, or make some dinner in the full kitchen that comes standard with each room.

Homestead Suites is a chain catering to the long-term guest. As such, each suite has an dining area and a work space. Guests can choose between the Studio Suite or Deluxe Studio Suite. There isn't a fitness center on site; instead, guests can utilize off-site gyms for a reduced fee. There are laundry facilities on site. The hotel is pet friendly. If you have a car, there is a lot to do in the area; Rt. 3 has a great selection of stores, and nearby Rt. 17 has Garden State Plaza Mall.

Each room comes with a fully-equipped kitchen, complete with refrigerator, microwave, and all utensils. There is a one-time fee of $4.99 for Internet service that covers the entire stay, with an available dataport plug. Full Housekeeping Service, which is a complete scrub-down of the room with complete linen change, is complimentary every seven days, and costs $10.00 for each additional service. Refresher Service, such as emptying the trash and replacing towels, is available on demand for $5.00 a service. An iron and full-size ironing board are provided, free of charge.

Homestead Suites is a great deal for the money, and a traveler can't beat the location. The biggest drawback will be if you don't have a car, but there are buses to NYC in the area that will get you to the city in no time flat. It's very clean, and the full kitchen will make it a lot easier to feel at home when you've got to be on the road for extended periods of time. The pet-friendly policy is a huge plus, as well.
