One of the many highlights when visiting New Hampshire is the impressive Presidential Range. You can’t miss this collection of mountain peaks and nor would you want to. Mount Washington provides you with great hiking trails but once the snow falls it becomes a haven for skiers. If you’d prefer to see the view from the top but want to avoid sweating on your way up you could always grab a seat on the Cog Railway. This lovely train ride will provide you with fantastic views the entire way. Other scenic hotspots include Mount Monadnock, which is an ideal place to go hiking, and Mine Falls Park. Perhaps you prefer the surf to the peaks. New Hampshire beaches are a great place to get a tan and explore the islands just off of the coast. A popular location is Hampton Beach but wherever you go you’ll be immersed in New Hampshire’s natural beauty. Visitors that come in the fall will be treated to an amazing display of colors as the leaves prepare for the winter months.
For those who love to stay indoors make your way to the Christa McAuliffe Planetarium where you’ll learn and see about the world that exists far beyond our planet. Art enthusiasts will want to make time for the Millbrook Gallery and Sculpture Garden, which is a great place to see many art exhibits. Feel the need for speed? Then you’ll love spending the day at the New Hampshire International Speedway. Its Loudon Classic draws motorcycle fans from around the globe.
You might not realize just how much New Hampshire has influenced your life. Did you know that the first McDonald’s opened as a small snack stand here in 1937? Also, the Revlon empire started its humble beginnings in this state as well. After you’ve filled up the tummy and painted your nails you are ready for a day out on the town. What to do? Shopping of course. There is no sales tax in the state of New Hampshire and thus you’ll save even more. A few malls worth mentioning include the Mall at Rockingham Park and the ever-expanding Pheasant Lane Mall. Pheasant Lane spans over 1,000,000 square feet so be prepared to do a lot of walking. Who says shopping isn’t exercise? Perhaps you’re not a shopper though. Make your way to Canobie Lake Park and get ready to feel like a kid again. With over 50 roller coasters, water rides and rides just for the kiddies the entire family will have a great time. Get ready to cheer some more at Rockingham Park. This great racetrack might just win you enough money to pay off your shopping bills.
