There's an old saying about Reno- You're never far away from anything. That was true not too long ago, but with the recent growth spurt that the Biggest Little City in the World has experienced, it no longer applies as it once did. That's why the location of your hotel in Reno has become more important than ever, no matter what you are in town for. And the Rodeway Inn has that enviable attribute that you hear so often in real estate- Location, location, location. Just one mile from the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, the Rodeway Inn is ideally situated, whether its an evening in the downtown with its gaming and entertainment, or its a day on the ski slopes just up the hill at Tahoe. The property also offers a relaxing atmosphere for when you want to take a breather from the non-stop action- both indoor and outdoor- for which the city has built such a reputation.
Does HotelsByCity recommend this hotel?
Yes. This hotel is designed to be a stop-over point or a home-base for visitors who need a nice, comfortable place to stay. It isn't a resort or a destination property in and of itself, but provides lodging for those who would like to enjoy the resorts, casinos, arts, outdoor recreation and other attractions offered by the Reno-Tahoe area. One note, however, is that the website for the property is not up-to-date in regards to the area's attractions. For example, it states that the Bonanza's Ponderosa Ranch is just a half an hour away, but the ranch has been shut down as a tourist attraction for several years now. But as long as you take that sort of information with a grain of salt, the Rodeway Inn can serve as a great spot from which to enjoy Reno. Read our customer reviews?
The rooms feature a spacious layout, and all of them feature cable/satellite TV, air-conditioning, free local calls and voice-mail. Some rooms offer microwave ovens and some even boast an in-room hot tub. Non-smoking rooms are also available. There aren't a lot of frills beyond that, but most visitors to Reno usually use their hotel as a home base from which to get out and enjoy the attractions anyway.
But don't get the wrong idea- the Rodeway Inn offers all of the little extras that one expects from a hotel of this type, including a free continental breakfast, a free weekday morning paper, high-speed internet access, business support services, a laundry and a suana and whirlpool hot tub, as well as an outdoor pool avaiailable for use in the warmer seasons. They also offer an added service that allows many visitors to take advantage of their vacation and not have to worry about driving and parking in a strange city- the Rodeway Inn has a shuttle service that provides transportation to the airport and to the downtown gaming and arts district.
