The Plaza On The River is a hidden gem among all the Reno glitz. Interestingly enough there is no on-site gaming here, and that is one of its biggest assets. Located just blocks away from fantastic gambling opportunities, the Plaza showcases a whole new side to Reno and the surrounding areas. Located along the Truckee River you can enjoy some of Reno’s outdoor highlights. Plus, you are also only a short drive away from fantastic skiing. The Plaza On The River is a great choice if you want to enjoy the action that surrounds you but not be immersed in it 24/7. In fact, this hotel shows off a whole new side to what Reno has to offer.

The Plaza On The River is a welcomed alternative to the other hotels in the area. Although some might wonder why they would stay at a hotel that doesn’t offer on-site gambling it is a treat for those looking to do more than just play Craps. It is also a fairly quiet hotel even though it is in the heart of downtown Reno. Of the complaints we heard they had nothing to do with the hotel itself. Take Plumb Lane from the airport to Arlington Avenue.
Turn right and follow Arlington to 1st street, located at Truckee River.
Turn right on 1st street and go one block to West Street.
Turn left on West Street and the resort will be on your left hand side.
