The hotel is a great place to stay with large rooms and large bathrooms. The staff is very helpful and the restaurants are fabulous.

I liked the fact that in the hotel was a shopping mall, restaurants and planned activities for the guests.

I did not like the cigarette smoke in the lobby by the casino.

I thought the entry way was very nice. It was a little hard to get to but just because some construction was going on next door, so you can't blame the hotel for that. It will clear and be great.

The staff, especially Melissa - was great!

The person that cleaned our room was not overly nice, but OK.

The pet-friendly Ramada Reno Hotel and Casino is only a few blocks from the downtown gaming strip, home to numerous casinos and entertainment venues. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, an airport shuttle, local telephone calls, in-room coffee and parking. There are six meeting rooms available for social or business functions. The largest can accommodate 500 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include five golf courses, the Reno Livestock and Event Center, the National Bowling Stadium, Lake Tahoe, seven top ski areas within a one hour drive, the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, the University of Nevada at Reno, the historical mining town of Virginia City and shopping at the Meadowood Mall or Sierra Summit Mall.

This was formerly the Holiday Inn in downtown Reno. It got fair reviews then and it gets good reviews now thanks to its reasonable rates and clean, comfortable rooms. Several pet-lovers said the location was ideal with grassy walking areas nearby to take the family pooch for a walk. The polite and professional team of workers had helpful hints about where to gamble, shop and dine. And several guests said this would be their hotel of choice on future visits to this Nevada resort area.
