The room was large, clean, and had a reasonably comfortable bed. Parking was free and convenient. I would definitely be willing to stay here again.
The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. I was given my choice of floors upon checking in.
The hallway ceilings were barely 6 1/2 feet high, and my husband almost hit his head!

This was a quiet, nice hotel but needs a little tlc for the rating. The on-site dining was good, the rooms clean but a little worn.
I liked the quiet away from the casinos

I had reservations for two rooms. I didn't remember that I put them under two different names. Upon check-in, I handed the reservation #'s to the clerk and was told that I only had one room reserved. I showed him the receipt which showed I had reserved two rooms.

check in staff was not helpful when a probem came up

Accommodations
The rooms at the Best Western Airport Plaza Hotel are nice and comfortable, whether guests are there just to sleep and out by the crack of dawn, or are using them as a staging area for a big event in the hotel's banquet facilities. The rooms offer free bath accessories, cable/satellite television, an am/fm alarm clock, a coffee/tea maker, hair drier, iron and board, wake up calls, free local calls and dataports. Fireplace suites are available, as are non-smoking rooms.
Amenities offered
If the Nevada-style gaming at the nearby casinos doesn't appeal to hotel guests, the properties amenities are luxurious enough that they just might not leave the site at all during their Reno stay. There's an outdoor pool, seasonally heated, along with hot tub, steam room, sauna, exercise facility and spa. The onsite Plaza Court Restaurant and the Crosswinds Lounge will meet the dining and socializing requirements, while the business center, putting green, high speed internet access and guest laundry should handle all other needs. For those who do want to get out, the hotel has a 24-hour airport car, and a local shuttle service.

Yes, this hotel is recommended, with certain caveats. It is an upscale hotel/convention/banquet center. It offers several luxurious accommodations. It gets good reviews from guests. It is located near the airport and the area's main roads. But it could be any upscale Best Western center in any number of cities throughout the country. Nothing about the site reflects the fact that it is a part of Reno, Nevada, the biggest little city in the world. Then again, that's what many guests actually see as a positive attribute of the property. Another caveat is that the website is run by the Best Western chain, not the site itself. So the information there regarding area attractions and mileages is not very accurate- ask the hotel staff for up-to-date info about Reno activities.
