Nice Place to Stay - posted on 05/27/2007

Room was very nice and there was easy access from the parking lot. A lot less traffic congestion around the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

girls weekend - posted on 05/20/2007

We had so much fun. We had ventured out of the hotel one of the days during the trip, seriously could not get back fast enough. Great drink service and loose slots. Even came home with money. Already planning the next trip.

Move that dumpster!! - posted on 04/26/2007

Very clean hotel/casino, slots not as loose as they advertise, stayed for 11 days and not once was there any slot payoffs. Stayed in the Montego Bay wing #2204 very nice room, large dumpster directly under the window that staff used 24 hours a day that was quite disturbing, and was woken @ 7:00 am Sunday morning by a very large/loud boom truck replacing light bulbs just outside of the window, besides the outside noise disturbances, it was a joyous stay and I would not hesitate to stay again.

disappointed - posted on 04/08/2007

I stayed at the Peppermill last year, and I was pleased. This year was different and disappointing. The parking lot construction was beside my room, and I was awakend at 5:30 am when a backhoe was started outside my window. When I complained, I was given another room but locked out of a room until after 4 pm. It really took 8 hours to get another room ready while my luggage was kept at the desk? Very disappointing with no compensation for the inconvenience. Beware!

tacky!!! - posted on 04/04/2007

The hotel was clean...however mirrors and neon lights are their only decorations. Not somewhere to take the kids, but would be fun with a bunch of friends. So tacky its fun.

Good Trip - posted on 03/30/2007

We stayed in the new Montarey Wing which was great - clean, new, flat screen TVs, etc. View was the construction going on, but that fascinated my husband. The food was quite expensive at this hotel.

Great Service!!! - posted on 03/24/2007

We were in Reno for a week for the USBC National Tournament. The rooms and the hotel in general had a pretty funky decor that was pretty painful on the eyes. But the rooms were very nice, the dealers were awesome, and the service overall was top notch. We never had a problem getting our whole group to the bowling stadium including all of our equipment. Shuttle driver made a trip back specifically for us after a show at another hotel. Only complaint is that construction goes almost 24 hours a day.

Great Hotel ! - posted on 03/12/2007

I love the futuristic decor in this hotel. I have stayed her twice & plan on staying here every visit to Reno. I enjoy the Peppermill coffee shop. The room was clean & gives a good view of the city. It's also just far enough away from the downtown area of Reno to avoid the crowds. I love this hotel !

Nice, but needs new decorating - posted on 02/11/2007

We were very impressed with this hotel. The staff was excellent and very friendly. The rooms in the tower were nice. The casino could use better ventilation and redecorating. All the lights and mirrors were at bit much. Overall we would stay here again.

At least it was a bed - posted on 02/07/2007

I heard the P-Mill was a nice place, but what a disappointment. the place is run down, our "non-smoking" room was NOT and the place is such an example of tacky casino from the 70's, but not in a good way.

New Years at the Peppermill - posted on 01/17/2007

Our room was decorated poorly, very ugly colors. I was most disappointed on how long staff left room trays and garbage in the hallways outside of the rooms.

Nasty, Dirty Place to Stay - posted on 01/02/2007

We found a used "personal item" under the bed the first night and grapes in the couch on the second. The staff was difficult to find if you needed anything, the place has a dated decor (it screams skin flick with the heavy use of mirrors in the rooms, the color choices, and whirlpool tubs in the middle of some rooms), and the staff's standards in regards to customer service are low.

You get what you pay for! - posted on 10/26/2006

I am a business traveler and expect more than the usual, but I can not stay here again. I had bugs in my room and it was not clean. There is no coffee pot as well, something that could have been rectified years ago. I paid $*, but have stayed at much nicer rooms for same price in RENO.

Hotel Review - posted on 10/18/2006

The hotel was great with the exception of the construction taking place. Didn't have hot water for one of the four nights which also ran into the next day, late morning. The hotel is currently doing a $300 million dollar expansion that will be completely amazing once completed. Definitely would recommend the hotel especially once construction is complete.

Another great stay! - posted on 08/02/2006

We stayed at the Peppermill for thesecond time and, like our fisrt stay, we ahd a great time. Our room was big, clean and the satff were excellent in meeting our needs. The Casino is one of the best for theose of us who play for fun with the best selection of multi-denomination slots with ticket-in - ticket-out features. The buffet is excellent and they give two-for-one deals to seniors. Their comps are the best of any casino in Nevada for a fun player. I not only would stay here again, I will be there later this month for another week of fun and excitement.
Needs Improvement: Smoke is a bit heavy in places

Peppermill is great - posted on 07/12/2006

The Peppermill hotel/casino in Reno is great. The hotel is under some construction/expansion, but it didn't detract. As in most places, other than CA, cigarette smoke is everywhere. Nevada should be encouraged to outlaw smoking in buildings. Get Over It!

Fun Hotel - posted on 06/20/2006

Just returned from stay at the Peppermill. We reserved a double room but upon check-in none were available. We were immediately upgraded to a king suite and a roll-a-way bed. Roll-a-way was for our 11 year old daughter so she didn't mind it. We stayed in the G building. Room was nice -bath huge with 2 sinks, shower, jacuzzi tub &plasma TV. We had no complaints other than petty things: only trash can was in the bath & we would have preferred a refrigerator in the room. Even though a casino our daughter had a great time especially at the pool.

be prepared - posted on 06/18/2006

The deal for this hotel is for a room with two double beds/smoking. If available, the staff is happy to move you, but be prepared to end up in the tower with this set up. These rooms are actually very clean and new, but a pain to get to.

Nice and relaxing! - posted on 02/28/2006

We booked a tower room on-line as part of a package and had no trouble getting a no-smoking room with 2 beds. It was fine. Wonderful selection of slot machines and table games. Great breakfast buffet and loved the coffee shop. Good comps, especially mid-week and take advantage of free appetizers at bar happy hours! Right on bus route, so easy to get around Reno. More laid back than Vegas - very relaxing. They need to get in-room safes, but service on safe deposit boxes was excellent. Will come back here again!

Good rooms are hard to come by - posted on 01/15/2006

The tower rooms are the best, but some are outdated with ripped carpets, broken window coverings, etc. You have to fight for a good room, too many overlook the parking lot and generators. Slots and poker machines don't pay off much. Staff is mostly friendly. There are 2 or 3 good restaurants.

Another Great Stay!! - posted on 01/02/2006

Just returned from another great stay at the Pep. Rooms were clean, fresh & comfortable. The comps are some of the best in town. They have machines that actually pay and not just the dollars. Will be back soon.

Excellent hotel! - posted on 12/07/2005

Annex Nightmare - posted on 10/25/2005

Booked Annex room, and it means crossing the parking lot, and next to the trash and service buildings. We refused to stay in the annex, and had to pay more than $30 per night extra to stay in the main hotel. Bad experience!

Ok, if you only want to gamble. - posted on 10/22/2005

Slow check in. Unable to get a non-smoking room. Stale tobacco smell in the smoking room. Poor Hotel for a business Conference: marginal food, no wifi access, over priced broadband access in rooms. Toilet flush stuck open. Nice casino - very big. Good parking. Easy access to hotel from airport.

ANother Great Stay - posted on 10/21/2005

Just returned from another great stay at the peppermill. I have stayed at just about every property in Reno and the Pep is defientely the best. The rooms are huge compared to the average room in reno. The food is great adn they have tons of multi denomination slots. They seem to give the best comps in town. Some people dont seem to like the bright neon, but honestly, you get used ot it. The Peppermill also has the best drink service. Cocktaill servers are always coming by on a consistant basis. The peppermill is getting ready to undergo a major expansion.

There were a lot of little things that went wrong with my stay. The staff was nice and kept apologizing for the errors but there were many small errors. I would not seek out this hotel. That isn't to say that if the rate was fantastic, I wouldn't stay again but I won't seek it out.

Reno--Peppermill - posted on 07/02/2005

My husband and I visited Reno for the first time and stayed at the Peppermill Casino. We were thrilled with our room and all the excellent restaurants in the casino. We did not understand how to use the slot machines properly....so lost $$. And as check-in and the casino is on the 1st floor, we got lost trying to find the front desk. But we enjoyed our stay very much.
