About the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino

The Grand Sierra Resort stands apart from the rest of the Reno skyline, and the history of the site is as distinctive as the structure that looms skyward, just adjacent to the intersection of Interstate 80 and U.S. Highway 395. Its earlier incarnations include the MGM Grand Hotel and the Hilton, and the building is a Northern Nevada landmark, with gold-tinted windows that show off the high desert sunlight during the day, and multi-colored spotlights that brighten its walls during the night. Since becoming the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino, luxury has become the property's watchword. With a full-sized bowling alley, a shopping pavillion, a movie theater, and the world's largest stage, to say nothing of the gaming and diing options, the Grand Sierra serves as an anchor for the Biggest Little City in the World's on-going rebirth and redevelopment. The site offers hotel condominiums, and plans for the world's largest indoor waterpark in in the works.
