Good Stay at Harris - posted on 08/12/2006
I always stay at Harris hotels in Las Vegas and in Laughlin. The atmosphere is good and the gambling is fun. However, the food is a little over priced.
Terrific all-around value - posted on 10/20/2005
Harrah's exceeded my expectations. It was clean, fun, busy but not too crazy. Very down-to-earth, not stuffy, but not cheap/sleazy either. Just a great pick. Great location in the heart of the strip, with the Mirage across and the Venetian next door. Checkin and checkout were perfect and fast, and beds were perfect, comfortable, seemed absolutely brand new. Pool is much too small, closes too early. Toby Keith's Bar & Grill fun, good passageway to parking deck; on the monorail route

First trip to Vegas, and stayed at Harrah's. Had a wonderful time, and love the location
thermostats/noise - posted on 05/10/2007
Our room (fifth floor Mardi Gras tower) was very close to a live band which thumped and blasted well into the 2:00 am hour. The thermostats are new and shut off the air conditioning when no one is in the room moving around. That's fine except when one is asleep and not moving, and the air shuts off, and the room gets uncomfortably warm. I found myself waving my arm throughout the night in order to "wake the thermostat" just to keep the room cool.
Great hotel! - posted on 05/07/2007
What a great time! The rooms were very nice and clean. The hotel is lovely with so many things to do: Toby Keith's bar, Starbucks, nice casino, etc. The location is great, as it is within walking distance of a lot of other hotels/casinos. Truly enjoyable time. Look forward to going again and staying at Harrah's.

This hotel is nothing special. Boring attire and the rooms had broken amentities. Comforter was stained. Rooms are not sound proof at all. The ONLY good thing about Harrah's was the staff was nice.

The hotel was clean. The room was awesome. The elevator waiting area could use an update. The wallpaper was worn and dirty. Other then that the experience was great.

IF THEY WANT TO COMPETE WITH THE OTHER STRIP HOTELS, THEY'D BETTER DO SOME CLEANING UP. A TOTAL REFURBISH OF THIS PLACE IS IN ORDER. TOTALLY FILTHY (ROOMS). WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN UNLESS THEY RE-DO THE PLACE. WE WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED! WE ACTUALLY CHECKED OUT EARLY & STAYED AT ANOTHER HOTEL.
Just another hotel - posted on 03/22/2007
I have stayed at Harrahs many times because it is predictable. The hotel is plain and smoky. The race and sports book is closing. The Buffets are over priced but the buffet food is fabulous. The staff is friendly and it's in the middle of the strip.

Harrahs Great Place - posted on 03/11/2007
Harrahs is a great place on the strip. Close to several casinos of interest. The courtyard is worth attending. Friendly staff. I hope Harrahs can bring Binions back to life in downtown Vegas. I like Harrahs
DISAPPOINTED - posted on 02/19/2007
The room was like an old Holiday Inn. Needed carpet, old tub & vanity, worn out mattress. They told me this was a Jr. Suite!! Wonder what regular room looked like. Buffet was very unorganized, spicey, and overpriced. Toby Keith restaurant food was like eating a TV dinner, portions small. Service slow & overpriced. Cafe food was okay but it took forever to get food. Very Slow. Casino was nice but never saw anyone win big. (over $500)

THE CASINO IS TIGHT, BUT ARENT THEY ALL..GOOD BUFFET, DIDNT USE THE POOL OR SPA SO I CAN'T COMMENT ON THAT DEFINATELY RECOMMEND IT FOR CONVIENCE TO STRIP,

One example of lack of sincere service was in their salon. A hair-cut costing $40 was done with carelessness even after I mentioned that I was seeking employment opportunities at the Consumer Electronics Show. I have had much careful hair dressers during my deployment to Iraq who charged a meager $3.

This was my 10th trip to Vegas and Harrah's was great, best bang for your buck and they give great comps. Right in the middle of all the action. Will continue to stay there on my visit to Vegas.

The location of the hotel was very convenient and central. Having the Starbucks at the entry to the elevators was a plus first thing in the morning. The room was spacious. Staff was very pleasant. Last night there we heard our neighbors other then that everything was nice.

This is an awesome hotel! The rooms were great - clean and comfortable, the service is outstanding... And considering that we stayed there for the same price as a motel in Phoenix - I would certainly choose it again. Plus it is right on the strip, close to everything! The only thing they should add is free wireless internet! I mean, even cheapie hotels provide it!!!!

Average Hotel, Good Location - posted on 12/07/2006
Average Hotel in a great location. Signs will say "Voted Best Slots". I cant tell, seemed to be very tight in my opinion. Rooms at Harrah's Atlantic City are much nicer then the ones in Las Vegas in my opinion. Spent more time in the Mirage accross the street than in Harrah's.

Harrah's was one of the best places we have stayed in Vegas in 10 years of going there. Friendly and fast check in. Casino is very busy, need a few updates on some of the slots. Easy to naviagate the property. Highly recommend Harrah's
Very Satisfied.. - posted on 11/10/2006
I was very pleased with my room. It was in the back, so the view was lousy, but the room itself was very nice and in a good location on The Strip. We tried the Range steak house based on an earlier review. It was good, but not spectacular.
Good place to stay - posted on 11/10/2006
We just came back from staying at Harrah's & found it a very nice place. Rooms could use some updating, but we only slept in ours. Staff was very friendly & helpful! Location=perfect. Casino was very smoky, probably due to low ceilings. Food was unoriginal, but very good in quality. Detractions were minor, overall a good mid-range hotel. If you want luxury, go to Bellagio or Venetian.
wonderful time - posted on 11/03/2006
We stayed at Harrah's because we could not afford Venetian, where my conference was being held. Harrah's was a short walk and we are grateful we chose Harrah's. It was clean and everyone was very pleasant and helpful. The only negative would be there was no coffee in the room!

I have been to many places in vegas, this was the worst. It was dirty, customer service was terrible. Pool and hot tubs were gross. 24hr cafe seemed like we were a real imposition. First night there they overbooked rooms and we had to sit around hours waiting for a room. then we did not get rooms we asked for a paid for months before.
wow - nice improvements - posted on 09/10/2006
I was pleasantly surprised when staying at Harrah's this time..This is my 4th time there and they improved the restaurants and got new slots - penny ones. Their show was good and there were lots of hits on the machines. Was fun. I love to walk when in vegas and stop in at various casinos but am annoyed each time I have to walk by harrah's to go somewhere and you have to take the uturn into the carnival area and go through the casino to head out in the other direction. The sidewalk is blocked off so you have to go into the U-turn. Otherwise, it was good.
Good Price/Value - posted on 08/20/2006
Harrah's is a good, middle of the road hotel/casino in a great location on the strip. Room we had (i.e., not all rooms in 1000+ room hotel are the same) was pretty small and run of the mill. The staff here are friendly...good middle class hotel...they're not trying to be the Bellagio, so don't expect it....fun/party type atmosphere here...OK for kids. Please get rid of those darn Timeshare pushy salespeople, please! Convenient, Price, Relaxed, Not Stuffy

We very much enjoyed our stay at Harrahs. The only part of the stay I did not enjoy was the very, very dingy towels. They were disgusting. I went shopping and purchased my own personal towels. I called housekeeping and requested clean white towels and they very quickly came and brought more very dingy white towels. Other than that, we had a very pleasing stay. We will stay again, however we will bring our own towel, which we should not have to do.

1st time at Harrahs. rooms were very clean and easy to get to. tv could have been in a better spot. Range is a great steakhouse!! other restaurants need some customer service skills. 24 hr cafe was horrible, both food and service. casino lacked open table games, closed games too early. also not enough table games, too many slots.

Great Comps! - posted on 05/26/2006
I have stayed in Vegas many times mostly at NY NY. Stayed at Harrah's this time because they comped the room for 3 nights. Room was nice, clean but the beds aren't as comfy as NY NY. Casino is OK but don't seem too win much, spend WAY TOO MUCH! Didn't care for the Cafe food, too expensive. But... got comped for 4 nights at Caesars for our next trip!
It was o.k. we would stay again for the price - posted on 05/06/2006
The hotel itself is nice. We has a four hour hassle that ended up in getting management involved before we got into our room. The casino staff could be friendlier. The suite we booked was nice but our bathtub had enamel chipped out alot on the bottom. Tip: go to Sahara 2 for 1 buffet, it is great. Also pay for all day bus pass it is good for 24 hours.

Harrahs is the Greatest - posted on 03/02/2006
I traveled to Vegas with two friends who had never been before. This was my 10th trip. Harrahs provided us with a complimentary suite and the comps were tremendous. The Clint Holmes show and the Range Steak House were both excellent. The cafe service needs improvement. Overall the staff was great
Tell the truth, please! - posted on 02/05/2006
the rooms are small but clean. When I made the reservation I telephoned to ask if they had a pool, but when I got there I found that it was closed for the winter. Then I was told where that I could board the shuttle to Rio (a 30 minute ride away) but not told that the pool closed at 5pm, before I could get there! The desk staff should give the full information when a guest asks a question, not send them on wasted shuttle rides!

HAD A GOOD TIME!!! - posted on 01/23/2006
The rooms were not fancy, but were clean and comfortable. The Carnaval Court outside bar and the karaoke bar inside the hotel had definite party atmospheres. I would definitely stay there again.
Overall Good Stay - posted on 01/19/2006
We enjoyed our stay at Harrah's on our recent visit. We've stayed there before and would return again because of its central location to most casinos and the new monorail. The only problem was noise from people in the hallways late at night, but other than that, it was a good experience.

hotel location is superior - frequently stay at Harrah's - never have the room requested or king bed available when I arrive - sometimes with Harrah's loyalty does not pay - price for the new buffet was very overpriced
Checking In Late - posted on 01/02/2006
Never check in late when going to any hotel. We arrived around 7:30pm and we didn't even get the type of room we asked for. Also the Cafe has terrible service, terrible food, and terrible wait time. The Casino floor is too smoky and needs to be glamed up a bit. Overall, a good stay, not excellent.
Good - posted on 12/27/2005
The hotel was nice. Smaller than the major hotels which was good, but not many thrills. Room was nice had plenty of room. Don't touch or move anything in the snack bar or they will charge you for it. The air conditioner was set on a censor so when you left the room it kicks off and it took forever for it to cool off when you returned. Food was so so! The New Toby Keith bar was fun, a live band, but a beer will cost you $6. I won money there!

My husband and I went up right before Christmas, what a great time to be n Vegas...not many people there at that time. Enjoyed the updated Harrah's room with marble tile and good view of strip. Enjoyed Toby Keith's for lunch and close proximity to Lawry's for a fantastic prime rib dinner not to be forgotten, Dicken's carolers and all!
We loved this hotel - posted on 12/14/2005
We really loved Harrah's. When we got there we asked for a King size bed and they upgraded us to a mini suite! The room was large, the bed was comfy, but the pillows were a bit too fluffy for us. Room was clean and we did not notice any outside noise. Room service was excellent, staff was super and we loved being right on the strip. The casino was pretty good to us also. The buffet was the only thing that we thought needed some improvement, but then you can always eat at the Wynn!

I travel to Vegas every few months. This is my second time (and now the last) to stay at Harrah's. Although the staff is friendly, that doesn't make up for a lumpy bed, loud hallways, a well worn room, and a past-midnight call from the front desk. Spend a few extra dollars and stay someplace else.
Harrahs Hotel - posted on 11/22/2005
Harrahs Hotel and casino is located on the center of the strips, Las Vegas Blvd. It is so convenient to go anywhere from there. The room is very nice with reasonable price.
My experience... - posted on 10/17/2005
Been to Vegas yearly for 14 years. Always stay at Harrahs. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfy. Pool area is a little cramped but usable. Buffet has a good selection and priced reasonable with the discount coupons you get in carnival court. Clint Holmes is worth seeing for first timers and the addition of Toby Keiths I love this bar adds to the fun. The atmosphere is always upbeat and lively. Don't miss dueling pianos. Like the addition of the poker room. Wish they would bring back the grandfather clause at the tables. Good location
Not worth it - posted on 10/04/2005
After retiring at 3:30 a.m, the alarm went off at 7:15 a.m. and we didn't turn it on. When leaving the room, you could hear other alarms going off in obvious vacant rooms. And the bed was too soft, not comfortable at all.

Harrah's was a great place to stay. I couldn't hear anything in our room at night and the beds were comfortable. The comedy club is affordable and worth every penny. The table games are very serious and not laid back at all. But Imperial Palace next door is realxed gambling. I recommend Harrah's to anyone.

Great Time in Vegas - posted on 08/09/2005
We were traveling west from NC and stayed 2 nights in Vegas. The room was great and we didn't have any trouble with noise. Not much of a view from the room, but the convenient monorail ride and walk on the street took care of that. It was a family vacation and we all had a great time. The pool was cooler than we were used to and closed much earlier than expected, but we had fun all the same!
Nice Location - posted on 08/08/2005
Nothing outstanding about the hotel, but for the price, the location is awesome, w/in walking distance of some of the greatest spots on the strip.
Location, location, location - posted on 07/25/2005
The hotel is across from the Mirage and Caesar's and just south of the Venetian. The mattresses are extremely firm, so if you like a soft mattress this hotel is not for you. It was virtually impossible to shampoo your hair using the water-saver shower heads in the bath. Apparently, there was some renovation ongoing. There was a lot of drilling and pounding during the day.
