The hotel has nice appearance and does not feel crowded. Unfortunately, using the facilities proves the feel wrong. Repeated 30+ minute waits for valet to bring car. 30+ minutes to check in/out. Fax in room did not work, Maintenance admitted the phone line had never been installed and they could not fix it. Front desk did not care. Liked casino. Restaurants and chocolate dipped strawberries wonderful, as were canal boats & shops. Room: so so. Upgraded suite was mostly foyer - unusable space. Other LV hotels are much better.

If you dream of indulging yourself in elegance this is your destination. Tao is by far the best night club on the strip. The DJ on Saturday nights is amazing and definitely keeps the party going. (DJ VICE?) The VIP Lounge is to die for, not to mention the mouthwatering seabass at the TAO resturant. My complements to the chef.
Beautiful Hotel!! - posted on 05/23/2007
This is our first trip to Las Vegas and this was the perfect hotel. Had the best experiance, ever. The room was beautiful. The service was wonderful. Check in was quick and easy. Everything was clean and comfortable.
Bad service - posted on 05/17/2007
The hotel itself is beautiful but the service from the staff is lousy. We waited over an hour to be served drinks at the pool - not good when the temperature is in the high 90's. The food is ok but does not justify the high prices. Check-in takes an eternity. Condo/time share sales people harrass you as soon as you enter the hotel lobby (the hotel encourages this by allowing them to have booths inside the lobby).
Needs Improvement: Service
Fire Alarm went off - posted on 05/12/2007
We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, overall was ok but during the 3rd night, the fire alarm went off 1 am and 6am...it really affected our sleep and scared us......how can a 5 star hotel make these mistakes....??? and they did not give any reason or apology
Stay at Belligio instead! - posted on 05/12/2007
Not 5 stars! Check-in is not guaranteed until 5 PM. Housekeeping didn't bring face clothes or clean our room unless we called. Told that I was too late for breakfast at 11:01 and that nowhere else in the hotel still served breakfast. Service was slow or non-existing in the restaurants. Every other hotel that we visited on the strip had pleasant and helpful staff that the Venetian was lacking. I was very surprised considering we paid $700 a night. We ended up sleeping at the Venetian and spending all our time at other hotels where we were treated as guest, not an inconvenience.

The Venetian is paradise. Way high on the class meter. Our party of 6 (2 adults, 2 teens, 2 20's) all loved it. The staff is attentive. The rooms are immaculate, large and beautifully decorated. Top notch all the way. We are planning to go back to Vegas in May and we will definately stay at the Venetian. I can't say enough about this classy hotel.
Spectacular - posted on 04/20/2007
Stayed here for a conference and was very impressed. Rooms are large and luxurious. Power window shades, 2 flat screen TV's, printer and granite bathroom counters. Hotel is just a few blocks from a large mall with a discount ticket outlet.. Spectacular shopping and restaurants in the hotel also. One downside. I had a non smoking room; others on the floor smoked and the ventilation system concentrated the smoke in my room. You have no choice but to walk through the smoke filled casino to get to your room. Overall a wonderful experience. Would return in a heartbeat.
The Venetian in April - posted on 04/19/2007
The hotel is absolutely stunning! When you first walk in you are blown away with its beauty. Our room was beautiful but the only fridge in the room was for the mini bar. We were unable to store any of the food we had left over from the restaurants the hotel had to offer. The pool closed at 6pm. It may have been because of the season, but was a definate disappointment. The casino did not have a good variety of games like some of the more established Casinos offered. We ended up going to other Casinos. Overall our stay at the Venetian was perferct for our honeymoon.

They take care of you ... - posted on 04/01/2007
I come to Vegas 3-5 times a year every year for shows and to play cards. Suites and food are top notch, and the staff simply takes great care of you. My only complaint concerned some non-guests using the Venetian pool, which was corrected by security approximately 5 minutes after I called. A lot of hotels in Vegas will kiss your butt if you spend a lot of $ there, but the Venetian takes just as good care of my secretary and her mom when they come out, and that means a lot to me. I will only stay at the Venetian when I come to Vegas.

too big - posted on 03/09/2007
Although we loved the stay and especially the rooms, there are some problems with a hotel this size, and this was prior to building the new tower. Our main complaints are because of the size, check-in took almost 45 minutes, room service was very slow and when we called housekeeping to tell them we would be out for two hours and to please clean our room, it wasn't done when we returned. This happened twice. It is a beautiful hotel.

Christmas in Las Vegas - posted on 01/01/2007
This place is simply gorgeous. It is like visitng Venice. My only complaint was that it was so crowded, I guess Christmas is just a busy time of the year for travellers. We could not eat in any of the hotel restaurants because of the long lines. Drinks were slow to arrive at the casino, and we had a problem with ground transportation. We did not know that we needed a voucher to get to and from the airport, which we had pre-paid. Other than that it was a wonderful experience.

The gondola ride was wonderful. The food at the restaurants is excellent. Thank you for an outstanding 3 days. We definatly are coming back in late August with 3 other couples!!!!
Venetian is the Best - posted on 07/17/2006
We loved our stay. This hotel is nicer than the Bellagio. The location is perfect. The service was great. The rooms were very nice. Very close to all shopping. We will be back!
exceptional guest relations - posted on 07/14/2006
The concierge was exceptional. All our wishes were attended to in a timely manner. The whole staff went out of their way to be friendly. If you are to rate a customer service experience, you'll have to put it against the Venitian.

My wife has stayed at the Venetian on business once before and vowed we would stay here when we came back for vacation. You won't be disappointed. All rooms are suites with plenty of space and an awesome bath room. Excellent Valet service and the check in desk did all they could to get our two rooms as close together. Excellent Value.
BEDDING - posted on 07/09/2006
The Venetian total package was wonderful, however, we were disappointed in the bedding. There was no featherbed and no down comforters. We will probably stay elsewhere next time; somewhere with more plush bedding.
Excellent! - posted on 07/05/2006
The rooms are great although the beds are not nearly as comfortable as the Westin's. Beautiful surroundings, large guest rooms & baths and friendly service.
Outstanding Hotel - posted on 07/05/2006
I would highly recommend the Venetian. The hotel was beautiful inside and out. The bathroom was beautiful, the room was large, and we were even loaned robes and slippers. There was so much to see and do besides gambling. If you do gamble, be sure to get the players card and ask about comps. While there, we saw the Blue Man Group and that was a lot of fun, but expensive (approx $100 per ticket). We ate at several of the restaurants and were pleased with the quality and quantity of the food. Drawbacks were the absence of an in room refrigerator and coffee pot.
Great Stay At Venetian - posted on 07/02/2006
I stayed in a concierge luxury view suite and enjoyed it. Good food usually good service. Maintenance could be spotty and sometimes new people at the concierge desk didn't know what to do, but all in all very good.

The Venetian is gorgeous. I recommend it to anyone. The spa was relaxing. The gondala rides are amazing. There are so many restaurants to choose from. Excellent high end choices for places to eat. Great service.

This was truly the nicest hotel in Vegas. We have stayed at most of them and the suites and service at the Venetian were outstanding. The staff and dealers were all friendly, accommodating. We ate at Aqua Knox ? spectacular!!! It got a little crazy on Saturday so I would not come on the weekend again but that wasn?t the hotel?s fault. Overall - very pleased with everything about the hotel.
We'd go back - posted on 06/25/2006
We were very satisfied with Venetian. It's easy to get around, the rooms are lovely and the service is friendly. A larger casino is in order, however, especially with the addition of Venetia...it gets so crowded at night, you have trouble finding tables or machines.
cofeepot and microwave - posted on 06/20/2006
Hotel is beautiful - but no coffee in the room - turned out we could have requested one for mere two bucks - hotel should leave note in room indicating this or mention at check-in. Also need small microwave.
Great anniversary - posted on 06/09/2006
Wife and I just got back from our 10th anniversary getaway. The Venetian was visually impressive, clean, and comfortable. Our only complaint was the heavily perfumed air pumped into the casino. Too flowerly and overpowering. Room was large and furnishings were nice. Thumbs up!
beautiful hotel - posted on 06/02/2006
Great hotel: Luxurious, great service,. beautiful room, lobby was spectacular. Lots of great dining opportunities, and stunning shopping area made to seem like Italian town, complete with dark blue evening sky. But needs more athletic facilities and lap pool!

Great Experience at The Venetian - posted on 05/26/2006
My mother and I had a wonderful time at the Venetian. We arrived way ahead of schedule and were able to check-in the person at the counter was very pleasant. The rooms are exquisite. Since our length of stay was short we gambled, ate, and shopped at the Venetian. We practically stayed there the entire time. Can't wait to go back.

Venetian heaven! - posted on 05/22/2006
My husband and I celebrated our one-year anniversary at the Venetian. It was wonderful! Friendly service, great pool area, and the rooms (all suites) are exquisite. We asked for an upgrade when we arrived and were given a luxury suite on the 33rd floor overlooking the Strip - two TVs, a huge marble bathroom, and the most comfortable bed ever. Only slight disappointment was Postrio restaurant. Thought the ambiance was a little lacking (wanted something very romantic) but the food was good - cost us $200 for two with a bottle of wine and tip.
Very Luxurious Suites - posted on 05/12/2006
I have stayed at many hotels, but none as luxurious as those at the Venetian. They definitely have the largest suites in las vegas and the best. I would stay there again.
beautiful hotel - posted on 04/29/2006
My husband and I visited the Venitian with a company convention. We will be back!!! Absolutely the best hotel that we have ever stayed in... from the parking garage to the room. Perfect service from employees from check- in to the turn down service in the venezia tower which we were upgraded to for free! LOVED IT!!!

From the moment we walked into the room we couldn't believe how amazing the room was. The suite was beautiful, the bathroom was huge and I would stay there again. The Venetian is pretty much in the center of the strip which makes it easy to walk to the other hotels. Everyone that helped us at the hotel were extremely helpful and nice.

A beautiful resort. rooms are a nice size, Good Restraunts Problems - was checked into a used room that was pass off as clean (towels rehung, used soap, bedding not changed, toilet not clean). The staff agreed. It took 2 phone calls and 1 1/2 hours to get someone up to clean the room I missed a show because of it. I was compansated, however it took me 3 people and 2 hours to recieve satisfaction. Dishes were piled up in hallway till after 5pm. Pool was closed two of the days no rain? Pool at hotel next door was open. The staff were pleasent though stuffy.

Not worth the cost - posted on 04/21/2006
The rooms were very loud, we could hear ground level construction at 6AM from the 17th floor, the rooms doors slam shut, and voices could be heard from the hallway at all hours. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor, their was mold on the ceiling, and the grout in the shower and along the sinks were cracked and dirty. The price of the rooms was definitely not worth it. The restaurant's food was mediocre and we found better at other resorts. The best thing was the gondola ride and scenery. I would recommend visiting the Venetian, but stay elsewhere.
Going back ASAP - posted on 04/21/2006
The Venetian was the BEST! We went to Las Vegas with several other people. Everyone stayed at a different 4 or 5 star hotel. Everyone agreed that The Venetian was the best. The authentic replica of architecture, paintings, fabrics, and masonry are "must sees." We were upgraded to a tower suite, which was a big surprise. All the staff was excellent, friendly, and informative. From the food court to Bouchon, there is something for everyone. Our four-day visit was perfect in every way. It's our opinion this is one of the best hotels in the world
Going back asap - posted on 04/20/2006
All the staff was great. check in easy. Upgraded us to a tower suite at no extra cost. Beautiful architecture, fabrics, artworks. Guest services helped with luggage, boarding passes, restaurants. etc. Toured all the other hotels and would return to Venetian.

Hotel was wonderful only complaint was the pool area. Pool too small for the amount of guest there. No chairs under shade. Housekeeping a little slow at times.
Great experience - posted on 03/22/2006
We had a great time. The customer service was the best of any place I have ever stayed at from the desk to the shops to the casino. They were out of non-smoking rooms for our first night, and offered to move us the 2nd night. The only complaint I have is the bed sheets were a little rough for my taste.
Weekend Getaway - posted on 02/17/2006
My husband & I were here on Valentine's weekend. We thought that it would be crazy busy, but it was just right. The rooms were beautiful. We got there before check-in time and they got us a room on the 30th floor. It was spectacular. We loved all the shops and the entire atmosphere! We had a blast!! Loved it!

Great hotel, but... - posted on 02/10/2006
My wife and I spent our honeymoon here and were amazed with how luxuriuos it is. Our only complaint is that for the price, it lacked several amenities, such as; free internet, coffee maker and fridge. The rooms also let it quite a bit of noise, they definitely need more sound deadening. Aside from those complaints, the hotel was perfect.
Another B-Day Celebration at the V - posted on 02/03/2006
For the past 3 three years I've stayed at the V for my birthday. This year was by far the best! To say I was treated like royalty is fairly accurate. Admission into the Tao...free. Admission to Jet at the Mirage...free! I've gotten a room on the same floor three years runnig with a view of Treasure Island, and now the Wynn, overlooking the pools. But the best part came when I was leaving. Long line of people waiting for a taxi...not me! Bellman walked us out with our bags hailed a taxi and off we went! Thanks V for another wonderful stay! See you next year!
What a disappointment! - posted on 01/05/2006
This was a surprise 15th anniversary trip for my husband but I got the surprise. If it weren't for Blue Man Group and the Canyon Ranch Spa, it would have been a total waste. Despite being in a non-smoking room, it smelled like smoke. The closet and bathroom french doors wouldn't shut properly without slamming, which I'm sure the neighbors absolutely hated. Apparently room service doesn't offer hot food, only tepid! Hopefully you're not hungry when you place your order because it takes a long time to get your food.
Poor Service - posted on 12/30/2005
How can "one " of the best hotels in the world have such poor service. From the reception desk where we were met by a girl who couldnt pull our reservations correctly to the concierge who upsold my girlfirend for tickets to the rental car person who tried to up sell me insurance. To the sub standard waiters at their restaurants and their ticket areas. This was by far the worst human experience of any Vegas Hotels. What was amazing was the physical place itslef which is still breathtaking. STAY THERE BUT DONT USE THEIR SERVICES. HAVE A HARD COPY OF YOUR RESERVATION
a little disappointing... - posted on 12/28/2005
This hotel is rated in the top tier of the hotels in LV. You'd think the food's great. As an Asian food lover, Noodles Asia, was purely disgusting. Don't bother trying there. Otherwise, I had a great time staying at the Venetian.

Arrived on the 24th of Dec. Informed them we were here to get married and up graded our room to 25th floor over looking the strip. The place was clean as could be, the only thing I didn't like was you had to order up room service for coffee or go down to the 2nd or floor or casino level. Contacted the concier and he made us reservations at Delmonicos with no problem and the food was excelant. The only problem we had was getting a cab out of the main entry it was a mad house, but I write that off to the time of yr.Will stay there again
Merry Christmas - posted on 12/25/2005
Stayed during the pre Xmas week and place was great. Only minor problem during check in. Had purchased Blue Man Package and during check in, front desk & concierge gave us incorrect info. Was taken care of quickly by staff. Make sure to make the reservations to the show. This was our second visit, and we will be back.

My boyfriend and I stayed a the Venetian for three nights and had a wonderful time. We loved the suite, the view of the strip, and the pool and jacuzzi areas. We went elsewhere for nightlife, but it was nice to retreat back to the romantic and elegant ambience of the Venetian. The shops on the Grand Canal are also great.

Enjoyed our stay immensely. Official check-in time is 3pm; arrived before noon, checked right in and went to room. Room was clean, nicely decorated, spotless bathroom, lots of big, thick towels. Comfortable bed. Sitting area in suite great for relaxing and watching TV; division between bedroom area and sitting area clearly defined. Food in Grand Lux cafe was good--enormous portions, though. Staff friendly and courteous. Will definitely stay here again!

Our stay was wonderful. The bathrooms were the most beautiful bathrooms I have ever seen in a hotel room. The marble floors, garden tub, seperate shower and the vanity area was simply amazing. The sunken living room was very nice if you wanted to stay in for the evening. After all the running around it is nice to have a nice relaxing evening in the room.

I was pleased except that when you book the room, they immediately charge the credit card. Be aware of this and make sure that the card you use to hold the room is the card you want your first night's deposit to be taken from.

Staff is well trained, room was a dream, pool area wonderful, restaurants had a great selection of cuisines, 12 restaurants and two food courts - no buffets - but plenty of selections for all types of budgets. WE hated to leave and plan to go again.

We stayed in the Venezia portion. You can easily get lost looking for your room. Once you do, you'll find the suites very nice and spacious. A coffee maker would be a great addition...unless you are really into a hike in the morning. The pools are small and crowded. Perhaps if one was off limits to kids it would help. Gamblers will find a friendlier casino at Harrah's down the street. Security getting to the rooms is great. You can't beat the Grand Lux Cafe! Overall, a nice place to stay.
