MGM Rocks! - posted on 01/20/2006
The hotel is beautiful and the service is wonderful. We had a great time, and travel to other sights is very convenient!
Really for the Younger People - posted on 01/16/2006
First stay at MGM and it was very nice-but the theme is designed to attract the young nightclub crowd-Not for the early to bed crowd due to the hallway partyers all nite. One more thing-there isnt any Judy Garland or OZ pictures or stores or ANYTHING. Omitting these origins of MGM history was a major disappointment. Management wants more Studio 54 and less focus on the classics. I believe this is a mistake.
WHAT AN EXCELLENT PLACE TO STAY!! I LOVED IT! - posted on 09/30/2005
What a great hotel ! It's close to the airport. It's very clean and not smokey like many other hotel/casinos. Check in was fast, check out even faster. Great food, the free lion exhibit was really cool. The pool was HUGE! I would definatly stay here again! It made out trip to vegas the very best!!!
Good, Not Great - posted on 08/16/2005
The MGM Grand isn?t as cool as the newest resorts on the Strip, but it's still a nice place. I stayed in a Terrace Suite--and the terrace was sweet. The room decor was kind of outdated, though. Shibuya serves excellent sushi--but don't drink the water they liberally pour for you unless you want to pay $9 a bottle when the bill comes. Against my better judgment I really enjoyed seeing the lion cubs. The pool area is nice, but the not-very-lazy river was crowded with drunk frat dudes. Overall, this hotel is a good choice if the price is right.
MGM was GRAND - posted on 08/09/2005
Second trip to Vegas and of legal age, we decided on the MGM Grand. I am cheap. However, we got a great deal on the hotel stay. Cut time and check in at the airport. The room is much bigger than the average hotel room I've ever been in before. The maids came a little too early in the morning and then bugged you throughout the day until they cleaned. The hallways were colder than the casino. Everything you need is in this hotel. I suggest Diego Mexican Cuisine and Studio 54. I would stay there again in a heart beat.
Too many kids - posted on 08/06/2005
This was my second time staying at the MGM and I wish families would stop using Vegas as a "family" vacation. There are too many kids around. Having to dodge them in the pool and casino doesn't make the stay as enjoyable as it should be. The hotel is wondeful with all the options for restaurants. They need to make it easier to find the West Wing rooms. Staff was very accommodating.
The Worst Stay EVER! - posted on 10/08/2005
I try to go to Vegas at least once every year, and my stay at the MGM Grand was the worst stay ever! Check-in was long and tedious. While my boyfriend was in the middle of his shower at 12pm, they had shut off the water in order to test it. When I called the front desk, they were nonchalant about the entire matter. At the very least, it would have been polite for the hotel to notify us upon check-in. The water came back on an hour and a half later. It was a nightmare of a stay.
Love the MGM - posted on 09/12/2005
I always stay at this hotel and love it for the atmosphere, the poker room and location. The rooms are very nice for the price and the room service is reasonably priced. The buffet was just so-so compared to Rio. Emeril's is very good but Rainforest was disappointing. Love the monorail stop here. My first choice on every visit to Vegas
Wonderful Hotel - posted on 09/09/2005
My boyfriend and I stayed at the MGM Grand on a mini vacation in August. It was amazing. Restaurants delicious...Must go to Emeril's sooo good! and Cabana Grille is great for breakfast by the pool...Entertainment outstanding...Zumanity at New York New York a must see and The Comedy Stop at Tropicana hysterical. The pool was relaxing. Casino payed out a lot. Service was outstanding. Rooms were gorgeous (West Wing was awesome) Everything about our stay was enjoyable will definitely go back again.
My experience... - posted on 08/17/2005
Worst stay ever! Thin walls, maid service would come in without knocking, broken t.v. and horrible customer service, except for the front desk. The beds were the only good thing about the hotel. I would only recommend the hotel if you enjoy enormous hotels that couldn't care less about their guests!
Grand it is - posted on 01/16/2006
Reasonably priced food, room and services. Close to airport, monorail and being on the strip make MGM Grand Really grand. The only place in Vegas where I won on slot machines.
Not bad, if you get a deal - posted on 10/17/2005
This is a really large hotel with so much going on it almost overwhelms you. It has some nice features, but the rooms are a little small and you really have to work to get anyone to solve any challenges you incur.
