great resort...at the initial check -in..i wasn't thrilled with the location of our room...i was shown 2 other rooms,im a timely and polite manner...then the front desk put us on the "regency club" floor (7th)and comped us at the "regency club"...nice hotel

If you're looking for Strip action, this isn't the place to stay. However, it's location on Lake Mead is lovely and the grounds are beautiful. The major gripe we had is all the "hidden charges." For example the $15 "resort fee" (please just include it in the room) and the "free $20" at the casino (which really turned out to be 20.00 if you put in 20.00 of your own.) Food was good, not exceptional. Service only good at check in - otherwise they ignore you. Go there during "low season" when rates are cheap - then it's a deal.

Took close to 1 hour every time we went to the strip. We almost missed a show because they advertise "15 min from the strip". Shuttle costs $80 per couple. We had to wait 1 1/2 hour for our room to be ready. They barely even gave us a pool key so we could at least sit out at the pool and wait. And then to top it off, I wanted to sort through our luggage and bring only what we needed and "for my own safety" they would under NO circumstance give me a cart. I made the 4 trips and drug everything in myself. Great hotel. Yes. Great service. Absolutley NOT!

We stayed here for 4 days after a wedding.This hotel saved our trip. In vegas for a wedding we had to stay on the strip. To our delight the resort was empty except for a handful of guests. The staff was amazing, our room was beautiful & all the food was excellent. Normally we sleep in on our last vacation day, waking up with barely enough time to get to the airport. Not here, we woke up at the crack of dawn, had b-fast out on the terrace, next to the fireplaces & enjoyed every second we had in the quiet serenity of the lake. Well worth every penny. We are planning a return trip.

A great way to escape the frantic crowds of Vegas & yet still be able to gamble. You will definitely need a car rental, it's 15 min. from airport & strip. The bonus is--no massive crowds & noise first thing in the morning. Hotel has a real 'desert oasis' feel to it. We gamble one nite on the strip, valet park car at Bellaggio. Montelago & Green Valley Ranch are two nearby casinos (hotel has small casino.) Green Valley Ranch has movie theatre which can save gambling dollars in the afternoon...Hoover Dam only 15 min. away...Great for people with frantic jobs that need some down time...

Everything was really great except the Spa was pretty disappointing. We got a couples massage, but the beds were too far apart we could not see each other unless we turned our heads, let alone hold hands. The amenties at the Spa are very limited as well. The service is OUTSTANDING!!! Nice and quiet resort.

The Lake Las Vegas Resort is a first class experience at all times.I am only stay 12-15 times per year,but the bellmen and staff know my name.Great,attentive staff,a first class experience at all times,bar none. Perfect location for those with personal safety/discretion issues.The full sevice nature of the resort is very covenient and the pool and lake are a major attraction.The cabanas are very convenient also.I really enjoyed the water slide in the pool area.
