Pretty hotel several miles from the Strip. Quiet - no casino in hotel is a plus. Downside is the $15/day resort fee that's tacked on for stuff like phone calls and parking. I've got my own cell phone and no one in Vegas charges for parking. The kicker is that they charge $9.95/day for internet access on top of that resort fee. Total rip off.

This hotel impressed us before we even got in the door. The grounds were beautiful and well-kept, and the scenery was great. The decor of the hotel was gorgeous, and the lobby, every hallway, and our room was subtly scented with exotic potpourri. The pools were well-maintained, with great poolside beverage and food service, and every employee with whom we had dealings was courteous and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we had a good experience at the hotel.

Beautiful atmosphere, very clean, friendly and helpful staff.

Too far from the Vegas strip.

This large luxury resort is now the Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort. Situated on 21 acres of lakefront property the resort has 493 rooms and 46 suites all enjoying views of the lake and mountains. It is the first Loews property in Nevada and since taking over the company has renovated the accommodation, added large flat screen TVs in all rooms, updated the pool decks, cabanas and lakeside fire pit. The resort has access to two golf courses, provides numerous activities for younger members of the family as well as providing facilities for the business traveler.

Accommodations

There is a choice of rooms to suit families and suites for those requiring more space. All the accommodation comes with a fully equipped bathroom with lighted make-up mirror and hairdryer. Other amenities include Internet access, a 37-inch flat screen TV with cable channels and videos on demand, in-room video games, coffee maker, and iron and ironing board. Room service is available around the clock.

The resort has an adventure concierge who arranges treks to the Grand Canyon, kayaking on the Colorado River and Hummer tours of Nevada's Valley of Fire. The spa has 11 treatment rooms, full-service beauty salon featuring massages, skin therapies, manicure and pedicures and a complete fitness center with cardio and strength training equipment. There are two swimming pools, a swimming lagoon, cabanas and numerous water activities. These include kayaks, pedal boats, canoes and electric boat to explort Lake Las Vegas. The two golf courses are the 18-hole Reflection Bay Golf Club, a Jack Nicklaus signature design championship golf course and the Falls Golf Club, designed by Tom Weiskopf, which includes a 10-acre practice facility. The resort also has four restaurants.

Former clients praised this resort for its beautiful setting and employees that were friendly and professional. The wide range of activities made it an ideal spot for a family vacation. Regular visitors to Nevada said it made it an ideal country retreat yet just a 40-minute drive if they wanted to get back to the glitz, glamour and gambling of Las Vegas. Quality accommodation and dining at reasonable prices were also much appreciated.
