York is a quaint town where the brick streets are lined with beautiful trees. If you’re noticing a lot of young people, they’re probably studying at York College. It has been offering quality education for well over 100 years.
Just south of York lies the Wessels Living History Farm. Spanning over 145 acres, you’ll be able to see what the farm life was like back in the 1920s. However, the operation is still in full swing so it’s quite interesting to see how farming was done with the way it is being done today.
One of the most unique sites York has to offer is the amazing Lee’s Legendary Marbles collection. For more than 30 years Lee Batterton has been collecting a few trinkets here and there but has had a passion for marbles. Step inside and see a fascinating collection of these little glass balls, including a few dating before World War I. It’ll definitely make you feel like a kid again.
