Lincoln, Nebraska’s capital, draws a lot of visitors throughout the year. One of the sites on everyone’s list is the impressive capitol building. The intricate details and murals help explain why it’s considered an architectural wonder. Lincoln has many wonderful museums as well. One of its more unique ones is the National Museum of Roller Skating, but if that’s not your thing you might enjoy visiting the Frank H. Woods Telephone Pioneer Museum, the amazing Children’s Museum or the Great Plains Art Collection. These are only a few of the many available.
Lincoln is also home to the University of Nebraska. Ever seen a sea of red? Whether you’re cheering at the football, soccer or baseball games, watching gymnastics or golf, the Huskers bring out their fans in droves.
There are many great areas located throughout the city. The historic Haymarket is an ideal place to shop for the unusual and unique. It also has a wonderful selection of restaurants. The Old Warehouse District is also known for its boutiques and restaurants and is a great place to hang out during the day and throughout the evening.
