About the Dude Rancher Lodge

The Dude Rancher Lodge is unlike any other chain hotel. This is a unique hotel decorated as a western style inn with authentic western furnishings and accessories. The Dude Rancher Lodge opened its doors in 1949 and was built by a group of local business men. The idea was to build it to resemble the log cabins that belonged to the early settlers. The restaurant which is best known for its famous carmel rolls also offers the western decor right down to the perty dishes. There have been many celebrities that have stayed at the Dude Rancher Inn including Don Williams, Dan Seals, Louie Anderson, the Harlem Globetrotters, and the 69th battalion Special Ops group. The 50th anniversary of the hotel was celebrated in 2000. Friends and fans of the hotel were invited to burn their brands into a wall of the hotel, giving it one more reason to be a stop when visiting Billings.
