For travelers through the state of Montana, Billings is either the first or last city they will see, depending upon whether they are heading eastbound or westbound. The Billings Inn is a decent representation of both the city and the state out here in the West- Solid, down-home accomodations that satisfy, but don't smother. Fireplace in the lobby, and great rooms for solo or family vacations, along with special rooms with set-ups to accommodate the needs of the business traveler. Guests will also find the staff to be friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make the stay at the Billings Inn a pleasant one, whether it's giving information and directions about the attractions in the the Big Sky State's traditionally largest city or whether it's fixing or replacing a misbehaving appliance in the guests' room. The Billings Inn offers just the right balance of privacy and Western hospitality.
Does HotelsByCity recommend this hotel?
Yes. The Billings Inn is friendly and comfortable, not pretentious. This property is ideal for guests who need a nice place to stay for the night, whether because they are traveling through Billings or they are being treated at the nearby Billings Clinic. The hotel does not offer a lot of luxuries beyond a friendly and competent staff and clean, quiet rooms, but it also doesn't pretend to be something that it is not. The atmosphere is warm and the rooms are nice, which is more than can be said for some other Billings properties that aspire to loftier heights- and have the prices to prove it. The Billings Inn offers rooms that are solid and comfortable. The standard rooms all have two beds and a reclining lounge chair, while the business traveler rooms have a king bed with the reclining chair, a desk, two phones, and a microwave and refrigerator. All rooms are non-smoking, with in-room coffee, iron and board, and extra storage space.
The Billings Inn knows what travelers want and need. Built in 1985, this four-story building features a concrete and steel construction that includes a double layer of sound insulation between rooms, so guests can wake up and get on the road when they want to, not when the next door neighbors do. The site includes a fitness room and guest laundry, and a fun special touch is the free fresh popcorn available to guests each evening. Throw in the fact that every room comes with a reclining lounge chair, and you have a hotel at which guests can really relax after a day on the road or on the town.
