Montana State Guide

It should come as no surprise that Montana has an abundance of outdoor activities to keep you occupied. It has a few entrances to get into the amazing Yellowstone National Park, is home to Flathead Lake, Grand Teton National Park and the impressive Glacier National Park. There are of course many other outdoor getaways and adventures spread throughout the state so it would be best to pack along good gear and be ready to enjoy the beautiful nature that abounds in Montana. Of course the winter months are extra special. There are hundreds of beautiful ski runs that cover thousands of acres so you’re sure to find the one that suits you the best. Plus the views from the mountaintops are absolutely breathtaking although the altitude could be playing a part in your shortness of breath. Nevertheless, the panoramic views are definitely worth your while.

Some of the more unique activities you’ll find in Montana include the International Wildlife Film Festival. It’s the largest festival of its kind and is a favorite for those who love learning about the great outdoors. Prefer to get a better look at the animals? Head over to the Zoo Montana and get up close with the local residents, which include the beautiful Siberian Tiger. Something you may not want to get too friendly with are the Grizzly bears. These animals call Montana their home turf so it would be best to not try petting them.

There’s gold in them hills! Montana played an important role during the Gold Rush era. Although most of the mountains have been picked clean you never know what treasures are waiting to be discovered. Some of those treasures could very well be waiting for you in the great stores located throughout the state. The added bonus is that Montana has no sales tax. On your mark, get set, charge...

It would be impossible for you to not appreciate the mountains that fill up Montana. If you’d like to learn more about them head over to the Museum of the Rockies. Another interesting museum is the Gallatin County Pioneer Museum. Not sure where it is? Just look for the county jail. Don’t worry, you won’t have to put on the orange suits.

The Montana mountains are a wonderful place to experience a great outdoor adventure. Just make sure you pack along your camera. The views are definitely worth capturing.
