Nice Stay - posted on 05/07/2007

We stayed twice, on April 21, 07 and April 29, 07. The front desk was very helpful. Rooms were clean, bed comfortable, only one chair. Would return again when in Sprinfgield.

This hotel is very accomodating your needs - posted on 03/24/2007

We had difficult circumstances when we went to Springfield, because of the death of our Grandma. But this hotel staff really helped us to make a hard experience a little easier with their kindness and understanding. After a 15 hour drive and a funeral, they allowed us to have a late check-out the next day to get extra rest before the long trip back. We were also very appreciative that our dog could stay with us. It took one less detail off of our minds.

They have a great machine in the lobby for making coffee or hot chocolate.

Traveling with the dog - posted on 09/27/2006

We are former residents of Springfield who return every few months to catch up with friends and let all the dogs play together. In many places you have to pay extra or take a smoking room when traveling with pets. This hotel was hassle-free when it came to our dog. The rooms are very small, but clean & the beds are less than plush, but priced right.

a good deal - posted on 08/13/2006

I was pleased with the room and the service. There was no continental breakfast but there was a place to get free ice and coffee.

Good stay for quick trip to airport - posted on 08/06/2006

My family stayed at this hotel last Oct. to catch a very early flight at the airport. Room and bathroom was clean. staff was friendly.Grounds were well kept. A/C and TV worked. carpet in room clean. We stayed here because of the Bob Evans restaurant in the front. You can walk to it. Other restaurants close by. I-44 close by to go to airport which is about one exit away. No shuttle available to the airport. Priced right and clean!

Concern About Cleanliness - posted on 07/21/2004

My family's recent stay at this Red Roof Inn was for the most part pleasant. The staff was courteous, the hotel was easy to find, located very close to many restaurants and we had a quiet night. My concern, however, is about the cleanliness of the rooms. While my first impression of our basic double/double economy hotel room was what I expected, small yet clean, I was appalled at what I noticed later. Ten minutes after giving my children a bath, their bare feet were black and all they had done was walk around our room. I immediately picked up our 7 month old who had been crawling around on the floor and the front of her outfit was black as well. I realize it is not feasible to clean the carpets after each guest leaves, but I would have to guess it had been quite a while since those carpets had been cleaned. As I stated before, our overall stay was a positive one, but something really should be done about the carpet.
