Although the hotel was kept up nice, and the staff was wonderful, the location was not ideal. It was attached to a mall, but the mall was pretty run down, and beyond that this area had little to offer.
The staff was so friendly and kind.
The restaurant was lacking atmosphere & choices, my bathroom needed a much better cleaning.

I am a recording artist and have performed over 1000 concerts and stayed in as many hotels. The Hyatt, Union Station is the most interesting and historically significant hotel I have ever had the pleasure to have stayed in.
Atmosphere!
I don't think guests should have to pay for parking, aside from the valet.

The hotel was beautiful and nicely decorated. Everyone was nice and very helpful. All of the staff was there to make your stay great.

A variety of rooms exist to meet the needs of any guest traveling for business or pleasure. Basic accommodations include a king or two queen beds. Portico spa toiletries, hairdryer, AM/FM clock radio, coffee maker and ironing board, three phones, and an extra large work area.

This really is a wonderful place to stay for travelers of all kinds. On the job? You'll find a fully functional business center located in the lobby near the front desk. It's open day or night, and provides fax, copy, word processing, printing and internet access, as well as a computer for guest use. Wired and wireless internet access is available in your room and in select public areas, for a small fee. An outdoor pool, with lifeguard, is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Memorial to Labor Day. A state-of-the-art fitness center, open 24 hours a day, is located on the first floor.

When you stay at the Hyatt Regency St Louis, you aren't just dipping into luxury. As a registered Historic Hotel of America, you are taking a trip into the golden age of St Louis, a time when their's was the busiest, most influential rail terminal in the world. Guests appreciate the beauty, and the history, and many visitors make it a point to come back year after year at the holidays. There were a few minor complaints. The pool is outdoors and doesn't operate all winter. The food is expensive. It can be quite a walk to your room. Overwhelming these issues weren't enough for guests to boycott this outstanding hotel in what is still one of the most popular cities to visit in the U.S.
