St. Louis Renaissance - posted on 04/12/2007

Overall the hotel was very affordable and enjoyable. Elevator service varied between slow and non-existant. I would stay again despite the inconvenience.

Ask for Room Facing Airport! - posted on 02/02/2006

The restaurant's menu lacks selection and is overpriced. Our bathroom floor was dirty. The view of the airplanes taking off and landing was definitley the highlight of our stay. For the cost of the room, I was somewhat disappointed in our stay.

Reasonably good - posted on 11/09/2005

The hotel is nice and clean. However, we got a room with shower but no bathtub. I guess it is a shower for pepople with wheel chair. It did not bother us but just a bit of strange

Noisy room - posted on 10/26/2005

The toilet made dripping sounds and there was a shrill squealing noise (we never could identify)that sounded like it came from a freight elevator nearby. These lasted all night long and pretty well negated the benefits we enjoyed from the brand new and upgraded bedding. The beds were very comfortable and the room was nicely decorated. While the room was comfortable and welcoming, the noise managed to keep us from a good night's sleep. The bath was super clean and the amenities were generous and well chosen but I still have issues with that noisy toilet. The oatmeal served in the lobby restaurant was top notch which is far more than I can say for the service or coffee. The coffee was lukewarm as was the service. We asked for a replacement from a fresh pot which was immediately forthcoming but the overall service was mediocre. The check-in staff were pleasant and very helpful

Great Place - posted on 08/04/2005

Location great if looking to stay near the airport. Outdoor and indoor pool adequate. If you have kids (or you yourself)like to look at planes take off and land, then this is your place. Ask for a room overlooking the airport. You barely hear the planes take off...so don't worry about noise. Clean new hotel.

Great stay - posted on 07/21/2005

The stay itself was grand. The hotel was wonderful, and the employees treated me very nicely. I just wish the parking was free, and closer. The later you arrive, the farther you have to park. And when my relatives came to visit, they had to pay to park! I thought that was a bit much. I reserved 2 beds in my room, and they only had one. If I reserve it, I expect to receive it, regardless of how many people are staying in the hotel. I am just glad that my girlfriend and I get along so well, or there could have been problems if she snored!!! Otherwise, I enjoyed the stay and the breakfast buffet was the best I have ever had.

Great hotel if staying by the airport. Free shuttle. Very modern and updated hotel. Adequate outdoor pool and indoor pool. If you or your kids like watching planes take off from the airport, ask for a room facing the airport. You really don't even hear the planes...so don't worry about the noise.

This place is very elegant. The beds are huge and comfy. The rooms are inviting. The exercise room is great. There is a charge for parking and your on your own if you can even find a spot to park. The employees did not seem too concerned about the patrons. I would stay again because of the location near the airport.

You must stay here - posted on 05/18/2005

What an awesome hotel! Every employee that walked past us said good morning or good evening. The bell staff asked us several times if we were okay or needed anything. We arrived very late in the evening, and the hotel was hosting a prom, yet we didn't have any wait at all to check in. The standard room that we had booked was not available so we were upgraded to an awesome suite at no additional charge. I always stay downtown when I go to St. Louis, but from now on I will stay exclusively at the Renaissance when I'm in St. Louis.

Excellent hotel - posted on 01/12/2005

I have stayed at this hotel a dozen times in the last five years and it is excellent. Good meeting location for 100-200 people with breakout rooms, etc. Not close to downtown, no live entertainment, and small bar/lounge if those are considerations.
