Wonderful hotel, staff are attentive and new updates in meeting rooms and guest rooms make this the place to stay. Great outdoor pool and new Waterpark coming next spring make us want to book again for next year right now.

We were not aware that the Clarion was under CONSTRUCTION; our bathrooms were old and worn;pool and hot tub not available due to consstruction

Annual pilgramage to watch the Yankees play. Hotel was walking distance to stadium. Bar was great. Staff was friendly. Not a lot around the neighborhood but perfect if you are going to watch a few ball games.

I expected better from a hotel run by Sheraton. Bed sheet came off over night. Pillows were way below standard. TV's were bargain bsaement. Communication between staff was not timely. Hope they improve.

In a bad neighborhood. Elevators were very slow. Room was dirty. No hot water or water pressure for shower. Outdated rooms.

Hotel shuttle to Royals game a plus. Hotel allows non-guests to park on property and pay for shuttle. This reduces the more convenient parking of paying guests. No place to purchase minor medicines (tylenol, etc.). No convenient stores within 4 miles (Walmart, Kmart)

We had a great time watching the White Sox play the Royals. There were only about 4,000 people at the games. We had front row seats behind the Sox dugout. The weather was miserable. We will be back!

Great location for Royals and Chiefs games. Great view of stadiums. Large rooms....small bathrooms. Will stay there again if going to game.

I will never stay at this particlar hotel again. First of all when we got to the room it was very hot. There was no way to regulate it so we had to turn it off. We then went to hang up our clothes and the door was off track. We got it open a little bit but did not want to open it too far because we were worried it would fall.When we tried to get in the bathroom we had to push it open to get inside the room.When we got down to the restaurant, there were maybe 10 people there, plus 6 or 7 waitesses and it took them at least a half hour to wait on us. When we finally got our food,they brought everything at once which meant some of our food got cold. After we were done eating we decided to get in the jaccuzi and pool. When we got in there the jaccuzi was broken.It had not been drained ,was very dirty and and had things floating in it. The pool was peeling and as I was walking across the floor there was glass on it. The exercise room had mold on the walls. I have stayed at other Choice Hotels but this is the first time I have had such a bad experience. I also called the hotel and got no responce from them. From now on when I book online I will book somewhere else.

Was apparently a nice place at one time. It is now badly in need of renovation. Bathroom had cracked tile and tub/shower wasn't clean. Mold on shower curtain. Door lock broken. Hallway was poorly lit. Looked like a haunted house when we checked in. My 14 year old daughter was a bit timid about staying here. I would have cancelled and lokked for another place but we were a very late evening arrival. Would not recommend this hotel at this time.

Spent the weekend here for the Nascar race. There is a new restaurant and bar that just opened and it is great. Rooms need work but the bar service was great and lots of fun.

Comfortable environment all around. When we presented the staff with a temperature problem in the room it was responded to and corrected immediately with friendly experienced staff. Hotel near many great city attractions.

cold hot water one day. Cold dining room. Slow service in bar waited an hour for appetizer. Glad I didn't order sandwich. One person covering with at one time 25 people.

Our first trip to the area to catch a baseball game at kaufman. the experience was good. very helpful staff. would consider staying there next year.The location was very convenient.

Contrary to the exerience of some other reviewers, our room was clean and relatively up-to-date. No complaints. Met all our requirements for a three day stay in KC and was a very good value!

I do not recommend this hotel. The 3 star rating fooled me. This hotel is dark and dingy; it has not been updated in 2 decades. The carpet was filthy and I wore my shoes at all times when I was in my room. The bedspread was paper thin as well as the walls. I could hear everything next door, in the hallways, bathrooms. I dreaded returning to my room. It was not relaxing whatsoever. If you're going to a game at the Stadium, there are other hotels nearby that are much better. I do not recommend this hotel.

The cleanliness was awful! We had a huge roach in our room. The maintainence guy came to remove it and sprayed bug spray all over our room, then pushed it into the hallway and left it. The carcus was brought back into our room when someone stepped on it in the hallway. The milk for the buffet was expired by 8 days! We were to get a $20.00 refund but we have yet to see it. WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!

After last years stay when the hotel lost power and no one whated to help, I thought I would give it another shot since the name change. I'm glad I did. The rooms were cleaner, staff friendlier, and a better stay, only drawback were the beds were a little hard. A great stay.
