The 116-room Fairfield Inn by Marriott Kansas City/Union Hill provides reasonably priced accommodation equally suited to the business or leisure traveler. The four-story, non-smoking hotel is located in historic Union Hill, half a mile from downtown and two miles from the Country Club Plaza. Items included with the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. There is one meeting room available for business or social functions that can accommodate 75 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include six golf courses, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Battle Hall Convention Center, Kansas City Zoo and the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum.

All the guestrooms have a work desk with high-speed Internet access, television with cable movie and news channels, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and telephone with voicemail. Some rooms have the added benefit of a Jacuzzi, microwave oven and refrigerator.

This inn has an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool and an exercise room. There is a Golds Gym two miles from the property. The complimentary breakfast is the only meal served here but there are several places to eat nearby including a Hereford House Steakhouse, McDonalds, Mr Goodcents Subs and Pasta and a Morton’s Steakhouse. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes, information on area events and attractions and a list of restaurants that will deliver to the inn. From Kansas City Airport (MCI) 20 miles: Take I-29 South to 35 South to Exit 1B (27th and Broadway), a left hand exit, Go to 31st Street and turn left. Go to Main and turn left to the hotel.
