Very nice for New Year's. This hotel had a great staff and was extremely friendly, even the bartender held a great attitude when it became busy. Service at this hotel is positive and inviting.
Friendly service.
The window view in our room was a brick wall.

Excellent proximity to the country club plaza. Room was clean, however some of the furniture was chipped and there were some shoddy repairs to some of the walls in the bathrooms. Excellent staff. Great ambiance in the bar area, and library. Two computers with internet access in the library in case you forget your laptop, but they run slow. I spent most of my time at the country club plaza, so this hotel was great for my visit.
Hotel library was very comfortable.
Some of the room furniture was damaged, some shoddy repairs to walls in room.

We traveled to KC because our girls were flying to New Mexico to spend some time with their grandparents. It was a late flight, so we decided to make a weekend of it. Our room was on the first floor near the vending area. The room looked clean, but felt more cramped due to the low ceiling. There were some water spots on the ceiling that didn't get painted. The staff was friendly, however I was surprised that the cleaning staff started before 8 AM on Sunday morning. All told, it was an adequate hotel for an overnight visit, as long as you are not planning to do much at the hotel other than sleep.
The hotel was located close to many local attractions, easy to get to & from.
The hotel bar & restaurant closed very early for a Sat night (10 pm).

This is a great full-service hotel in a good location if you want to explore all the attractions of Kansas City. That is the view of several travelers who have stayed at this Holiday Inn and said the accommodation is spotlessly clean and comfortable and the rate affordable. There were good reviews too about the helpful and friendly staff. There were some minor moans that the property was in need of updating. Despite this most guests said they will stay here again and plan to recommend the hotel to family and friends.
