Close to Ole Miss Campus for our college visit. Always nice to have breakfast available for free.

The Comfort Inn in Oxford was a very comfortable room with a nice-sized refrigerator and microwave. It is literally two minutes from The University of Mississippi and is close to everything. Unfortunately, there were two problems. The first was the continual noise throughout the night as well as the loud speaker from the car dealership across the street blasting into the room at 7:00 a.m. The room needs much better insulation from noise. The second problem was the curtains were located directly over the air conditioner unit which resulted in all the air being trapped inside the curtains. These rooms would be better suited for horizontal mini-blinds as opposed to curtains. The hotel was short-staffed in the morning which led to poor service for the continental breakfast. Hotel was very clean and family-friendly. Staff was very pleasant (just not enough of them).
It was close to everything.
Hotel was way too loud. Lots of yelling up and down the hall.

Handicap accessible rooms and non-smoking rooms are available. The executive suites have a whirlpool bathtub.

Thanks to remodeling and a change in management reviews about this Comfort Inn have greatly improved. Earlier complaints about rudeness and maintenance problems have stopped. Recent visitors to this hotel are full of praise for the knowledgeable and friendly staff that is full of helpful hints about sightseeing and the best places to dine and shop. The rooms are spotless, well equipped and reasonably priced. Many said the complimentary breakfast was better than they expected and made a great start to a morning in Mississippi.
