Perhaps Greenville’s location along the river helped inspire Jim Henson’s creation of Kermit the Frog. The river also had a huge impact on the building of the amazing Mississippi River Levee. Greenville is well known for its casinos and museums. One of the great attractions though is the impressive River Road Queen. This steamboat replica was originally built for the ’94 New Orleans World Fair but is now stationed at the River Heritage Center. Enjoy an evening at the Walnut Street District where you’ll find an impressive selection of clubs and restaurants.
