This hotel is located in a former train depot in the Washington Avenue mill district of Minneapolis. It is very convenient to the Metrodome Stadium, and to other business and pleasure attractions in the city. It has an indoor water park and a classy restaurant.

Nice in-room amenities, very clean and new.

There was a food charge from the gift shop on the bill that was not mine.

The 225-room The Depot Minneapolis, a Renaissance Hotel by Marriott, provides luxury accommodation at an affordable price equally suited to the upmarket business or leisure traveler. The five-story, non-smoking hotel is located in a 100 year old train depot which has been restored to a modern day resort. There are 12 meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The largest can accommodate 1,500 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include two golf courses, the Metrodome, the Convention Center, Target Center, the University of Minnesota, Guthrie Theater, Orpheum Theater, State Theater, the Mall of America and the Minnesota Opera.

All the guestrooms, and 18 suites, have a work desk with high-speed Internet access, television with cable movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, CD player, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, two-line telephone with voicemail and speakerphone, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and bathrobes. The bathtubs have spray jets. Video games and players are available for rent.

Visitors to Minneapolis loved this historic and luxury Marriott property. Families said the award-winning water park was a great attraction and the Stone Arch Bar and patio was a great place to meet new friends. The employees were extremely helpful and efficient and most guests said they would use this hotel the next time they came to the city.
