The 225-room The Depot Minneapolis, a Renaissance Hotel by Marriott, provides luxury accommodation at an affordable price equally suited to the upmarket business or leisure traveler. The five-story, non-smoking hotel is located in a 100 year old train depot which has been restored to a modern day resort. There are 12 meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The largest can accommodate 1,500 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include two golf courses, the Metrodome, the Convention Center, Target Center, the University of Minnesota, Guthrie Theater, Orpheum Theater, State Theater, the Mall of America and the Minnesota Opera.

Families said the award-winning water park was a great attraction and the Stone Arch Bar and patio was a great place to meet new friends. All the guestrooms, and 18 suites, have a work desk with high-speed Internet access, television with cable movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, CD player, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, two-line telephone with voicemail and speakerphone, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and bathrobes. The bathtubs have spray jets. Video games and players are available for rent.

The Minneapolis Depot Indoor Water Park is on-site and there is a whirlpool and an exercise room. The hotel’s Charlie’s Grill serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and the Stone Arch has a fully stocked bar. Room service is available from 6.30am until 11pm. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes. Other amenities include a concierge desk, an ATM, coin-operated laundry, valet dry-cleaning, fax and copying services, a shoeshine stand, games room, vending machines and a gift shop and newsstand.

From Minneapolis-St Paul Airport (MSP) 13 miles: Take I-494 West to I-35W north. Follow I-35W north to South Street Exit. Turn left on South 3rd Street. Turn right on South 3rd Avenue. The hotel will be on your right side.
