This 533-room full service luxury hotel is located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis and is connected by a skyway to the city’s convention center. The Hyatt Regency Minneapolis caters mainly for business clients but is close to many attractions for the leisure traveler. Nearby points of interest include the Walker Arts Center and Sculpture Garden, Guthrie Theater, Historical State and Orpheum Theaters, Nicollet Mall Shopping, Target Center home of the Minneapolis Timberwolves and the Metrodome, home of the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins. The hotel has over 68,000 square feet of meeting space for exhibitions and functions.

Most of those who have stayed here previously have been delighted with the accommodation and facilities. No complaints about the dining, except that it is expensive. Hyatt Regency Minneapolis Accommodations

Rooms have views of Loring Park or the Minneapolis skyline and offer a choice of one king-size or two double beds. The granite bathrooms have a hairdryer. Amenities include work desk with Internet access, TV with cable movie channels and in-room pay-per-view movies, two telephones with voice mail, electronic door locks, coffee maker and an iron and ironing board. Everyone gets a morning newspaper delivered.

Dining options include the Taxxi American Bistro, Spike’s Sports Bar and Manny’s Steakhouse and Oceanaire for sea food. The hotel’s Athletic Club is a full-service health club and members have access to an indoor racquetball court, basketball court, heated indoor pool, massage services and private yoga studio. There is a gift shop, hair and manicure salon and laundry and dry cleaning services. Room service operates from 6.30am until midnight and there are soda and ice machines throughout the property. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and can handle currency exchange.

Follow 94W, stay in far right lane to the 11th St. exit. Take 11th St. to 2nd Ave. Turn left at 2nd Ave. Go past Convention Center. Turn right at Nicollet Ave. Hotel and Parking ramp will be on your left. From 94 East (St. Paul, Wisconsin): Follow 94W, stay in far right lane to the 11th St. exit. Take 11th St. to 2nd Ave. Turn left at 2nd Ave. Go past Convention Center. Turn right at Nicollet Ave. Hotel and Parking ramp will be on your left. From 35W (South suburbs): Follow signs for downtown to the 11th St. exit. Take 11th St. to 2nd Ave, turn left. Continue past Convention Center. Turn right at Nicollet Ave. Hotel and parking ramp will be on your left. From the Minneapolis/St. Paul Intl Airport: Exit right out of airport and follow signs to 494 West. Take 494W to 35W North. Follow signs for downtown to the 11th St. exit. Take 11th St. to 2nd Ave, turn left. Continue past Convention Center. Turn right at Nicollet Ave. Hotel and parking ramp will be on your left.
