Minneapolis, together with Saint Paul, forms the Twin Cities and each offer a wealth of activities. You might be surprised to find that Minneapolis has over 20 small lakes in the area. During the summer months you can enjoy boat rides, fishing and swimming. The winter months also let you make use of the water for ice fishing and skating. Golfers will have a lot of options at their fingertips with over 100 courses to choose from. Minneapolis is home to the Target Center, a great place to catch a concert, and it’s close to Valleyfair, one amazing amusement park. The artist community is very strong here. The Guthrie Theater is one of the more popular ones attracting major events. The Walker Art Center is well known for the enormous spoon and cherry, which make up part of the sculpture garden… it also makes me want to eat a giant ice cream Sunday. Last, but certainly not the least is the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. With an impressive collection of over 100,000 pieces you’ll have a lot to take in.
