The pet-friendly Residence Inn by Marriott Minneapolis/Bloomington comprises 128 suites and is located one mile from the Mall of America and four miles from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport. The four-story, non-smoking hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service to both locations. Other items included with the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, evening socials with a light dinner on Monday through Thursdays, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. All the suites have a separate living and sleeping area and fully equipped kitchen and are equally suited to the business or pleasure traveler. There is one meeting room available for business or social functions that can accommodate 20 guests. Local attractions include the Minnesota Zoo, Valley Fair, Twins and Vikings games at the Metrodome, Target Center, Xcel center, Walker Art Center and Fort Snelling.

Former visitors to this Residence Inn say it is a great place to stay. The accommodation is spacious, clean and well equipped. The prices charged are reasonable when you take into account all the freebies – including the shuttle to the airport and the Mall of America. The suites have a fully equipped kitchen with a conventional and microwave oven, stovetop, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, coffeemaker, toaster and a full set of cutlery and crockery. There is a work desk with high-speed Internet access, fireplace, two-line telephone with voicemail and speakerphone, television with cable movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, pullout sofa bed, hairdryer, alarm clock and an iron and ironing board. Video games and players are available for rent.

From Minneapolis-St Paul Airport (MSP) 4 miles: Take I-494 west to 12th Avenue exit. Go south (left) on 12th Avenue to American Boulevard. Turn left onto American Boulevard. Follow American Boulevard to Bloomington Avenue South (approximately 2 blocks) and turn left.
