All in all our experience was very positive. The hotel was easy to find, was a convenient location for our planned activities, and in an area with a number of restaurants and lots of shopping very close and easy to access. The staff was very friendly and helpful and came very rapidly when we had a bathroom problem. We enjoyed a very nice Sunday brunch in the hotel restaurant. The room was not large, but was very comfortable, except for it being quite cool, so the heat and the blower had to be on all the time. That was the only drawback. This may not have happened except that the windchill temperatures outside remained below zero the nights we were there, and this room was on the side of the hotel that got the coldest wind.

The room was cold; very low outdoors temperatures, even the thermostat at 79 degrees did not keep the room warm

Staff very accommodating and friendly. Room quite luxurious, though would be even better with a small frig and especially, a radio. Elevator voice announcing floors sounds like a sulky woman with an attitude many guests remarked on it and I can't for the life of me understand why the hotel doesn't change that. Desk staff says they get complaints about it all the time. Very odd and mars an otherwise lovely experience.

The 224-room Marriott Detroit Livonia provides quality accommodation at an affordable price equally suited to the business or pleasure traveler. The six-story, non-smoking hotel is easily accessible to downtown Detroit, Ann Arbor, Detroit Metro Airport and the Southeast Michigan area. Many regular visitors to Livonia rate this Marriott as the best place to stay in town. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable and the team of employees is both efficient and friendly. Businessmen like the facilities here and the location close to many corporate offices and so do their wives. The hotel is connected to the Laurel Park Place Shopping Mall.
