Lansing is quite proud of its history. Instead of having just one downtown Lansing actually has two. The first is the business center, which showcases the State Capitol, and the other is Old Town. The Old Town has been well restored and showcases quaint shops and cool restaurants. If you’ve never been to a farmers’ market you should make time for the City Market where you’ll love exploring the produce and other homemade treats. The art community in Lansing has really flourished giving you plenty of reasons to explore the galleries, take in the concerts and shows. There are also two lakes in the area, complete with their own sailing clubs. Lansing is a charming city worth visiting whatever time of year you visit.
