1st Review Ever - posted on 03/25/2007
This is the first review I have ever made for a hotel and I travel 6 months per year. This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a hotel. The room was: dirty, heater was loud and kept going on and off, shower temp went from scalding hot to ice cold, smelled, tv remote broken, carpet sticky, walls thin so very noisy etc. The exterior was under construction so the room's view was of garbage piles. There are a lot of hotels in this area. Do not stay here.
A Visit Home - posted on 12/28/2006
We enjoyed our trip home. We were somewhat concerned about the hotel because they were under construction, but the room, pool, and building were still very clean under the circumsances. We really enjoyed the pool and whirlpool. We also enjoyed the wonderful breakfast too. Overall, our stay was very nice. We are likely to stay at this hotel again when we go home to visit.

The fans on the Heating & AC units would go off and on all night. There was no button for just the fan. Thus if woke us up every time it would go on and off. Other than that, it was a great value & clean.
Not very good - posted on 09/14/2006
The hotel was in poor shape. One of the exterior doors had no lock. Our room door did not close unless given a shove. The tub didn't drain unless a towel was shoved in the drain to hold it open. The exercise room had a broken TV and non-useable exercise bike. The pool was closed for rennovation. The managment was not very responsive to these complaints, although they did reduce our price 25%.

The hotel is under major renovations. The halls were torn apart and the exterior was a mess. The exterior security boxes were missing and our first room was missing the peak hole in the door. We could stick our finger right through! They moved us into an adequate room that was very clean and nice. The halls were full of screaming teens until 1 a.m. We complained but it didn't help.
One of the best stays of my life - posted on 03/22/2006
The hotel went under some serious renovation and it is now proving to have been an excellent choice. They have my loyalty.

The hotel in the midst of renovation - untold to me when I booked. The quality of the workmanship of the renovation is terrible which I communicated to the manager.
Definately on the bottom of a two star. The bed was terrible and I was unable to get the heat adjusted - either too hot or two cold.
Needs Improvement: Finish renovation

No locks or security on side entrance doors. Rooms filthy; spit balls on ceiling, dust everywhere, not vaccumed well, windows, pictures, doors all noticeably dirty, rips in comforters. Hot tub not working (it was colder than the pool). Pool area needs to be esthetically improved. Overall we thought it was a dump and were very disappointed. At least we didn't pay a fortune and they did knock a little off the price after we found a stale old donut under the matress!
