Customer Reviews for Days Inn Downtown Grand Rapids

great place to stay - posted on 01/17/2007

We stay here everytime we go to Grand Rapids, location is excellent walking distance to downtown and Van Andel. Rooms are clean and good sized, beds are comfortable as far as hotel beds go. Staff is very friendly. Restuarant and bar on site, which are both very nice! on the night that we went the live entertainment in the bar was something to be desired. Great stay at a great price. Would recommend

Quite fine - posted on 12/29/2006

Previous reviews on this hotel had me a bit worried but we had no problems at all with it. We stayed 1 night 2 different times. The rooms were clean, good features refrig/microwave even free bottled water & popcorn. We enjoyed an evening in the lounge and they had a very nice all you can eat breakfast buffet reasonably priced. They have a free computer & printer in the lobby which I accessed to find directions to friends houses. It's not fancy or new but very adequate. Easy access to the Hwys.

We all met here for a wedding. It was very clean, but needs a lot of updating. Staff was great. Restaurant was excellent for everyone meeting.

Poor Hotel for Nice City - posted on 09/19/2006

We stayed here in August and the room smelled. It was outdated and the beds were not comfortable. Noises in the hall were very loud. Guests this month for my son's wedding found repairs needed in rooms. Only good thing about this place is the price.

The room looked like it belonged in a frat house! - posted on 08/23/2006

The sofa was heavily stained, there was no desk to put the laptop for which they provide free wireless. I had no need for the microwave oven nor the refridgerator that made so much noise that I had to pull the plug in the middle of the night. The furniture was heavily worn/damaged. The bed felt like a piece of foam on a sheet of plywood.
