I liked how the Holiday Inn Express got away from "the look of a hotel room." You now what I mean, with the ugly bedspreads. This one had white bedspreads with a red blanket. It looked much better!

I liked the size of the bed, the space of the room and the overall look of the room.

I wish there were more breakfast options.

The staff we encountered was very nice with the exception of the night staff who appeared less than caring. The night the shower broke, we were told a maintenance man would be in the following morning so we stayed where we were. In the morning when we called about maintenance, we were told it was his day off and were moved to another room. Had we known the shower wouldn't be fixed, we would have moved that evening.

Location was great. Staff was nice.

Shower broke and toilet overflowed and had to move to different room halfway through the stay.

Travelers to Gaylord say this is a great hotel with a professional and polite crew of employees and nicely decorated accommodation which is clean and comfortable. Many visitors enjoyed the large indoor heated swimming pool. There were good comments too about the hot breakfast buffet which made a great start to a northern Michigan morning.
