The 57-room Fairfield Inn by Marriott Frankenmuth is nestled in the center of the beautiful Bavarian community of Frankenmuth. The three-story non-smoking hotel is ideally suited for the leisure traveler wanting to explore the area noted for its nearby brewery, horse drawn carriages and unusual shops. Items included with the room rate are an expanded continental breakfast, a morning newspaper, local telephone calls, parking and coffee available 24/7 in the lobby. Other attractions nearby are parks, gardens, three golf courses, museums and some very special restaurants. The Bavarian Bell Riverboat and Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland are a short drive away.

Families adored this Marriott property and said they would return since there are so many things to enjoy in the area. Top marks for the pool and the friendly and efficient crew of employees. There were several complaints about the $5 charge for Internet access. Several former visitors said they expect management to eliminate the charge. All the guestrooms, and six suites, have a work desk with high-speed Internet access and ergonomic chair. Other amenities include cable television with movie channels, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and IDD telephone. The larger executive rooms have a refrigerator and microwave oven.

The hotel has an indoor swimming pool and fitness center. The complimentary continental breakfast is the only meal served here but there are several restaurants nearby including the Bavarian Inn Restaurant, Black Forest Brew Haus and Grill, Tiffany’s Food and Spirits and a McDonalds. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes, a list of restaurants that will deliver to the hotel and information on area events and attractions. Other amenities include a dry-cleaning service, vending machines and a fax and copying machine available for guest use.

From Freeland Airport (MBS) 15 miles: Exit airport grounds and turn right to US 10. Take US 10 east to I-75 South. Take I-75 South to exit# 144. Turn left (east) and go three miles to stop light (Dixie Hwy. and Junction Rd). Turn left on Junction to Frankenmuth. Turn right (South) on Main St. to Tuscola. Hotel is located on the Southwest corner of Main and Tuscola.
