Customer Reviews for Hilton Garden Inn Detroit Downtown

Motor city - posted on 04/09/2007

Overall, this was a nice hotel: very clean, and friendly staff short walk to Stadiums and Greektown. However, the place is advertised as having a pool and frankly, my bathtub was larger. It was difficult to swim laps and when a second family was in it, it was crowded. Also, while it was not a surprise, why is there a parking fee for hotel guests? Very tacky.

great price, staff, convenient - posted on 11/23/2005

The price was great for the services received. There are upgrades for Hilton Honors members and you get you points all a plus here. And best yet, parking was included in our stay with in and out priv. all good, 2 blocks to casino and restaurants, YEA!!! I usually don't submit these but want to be sure others know.

Great Again!! - posted on 10/23/2005

Stayed here last year for the Detroit Marathon. Again, friendly, accomodating staff. Great location - What more can you ask for. Will be back AGAIN next year!!!!

Good location, fair service - posted on 07/30/2005

It is hard to beat this hotel for its proximity to Greektown, the casino, the Theatre District and the ballparks. It' is a shame that the level of service was not commensurate with its favorable location. We booked a room with two king beds, but on arrival, were told that the room had been sold out and were "upgraded"...to a suite with just one bed and a pull out couch! We were also denied the courtesy of a late check out. The service staff is a bit green.

Decent in Detroit - posted on 06/15/2005

The hotel was very clean. Staff was friendly. Proximity to stadiums and Greek Town is excellent. However, there is much construction, so it is difficult to get to find. No continental breakfast offered, but overall a good stay.

What a great hotel - posted on 12/13/2004

My first time staying in the city I typically stay at the airport and take a cab to the GM building! This is a great location with a wonderful staff I will return next month

Very Impressed! - posted on 10/26/2004

Great location for the Detroit Marathon - just a 5 minute walk to Ford Field/Comerica Park. The staff were absolutely the best I have ever dealt with - very friendly. The room was great! Definitely will be back next year!!
