The 260-room Courtyard by Marriott Detroit Downtown is a full-service hotel offering quality accommodation at an affordable price for both the business traveler and families on vacation. The 21-story, non-smoking property has 18 suites and 30 executive king rooms which have the added benefit of a 32-inch flat panel television, refrigerator and microwave oven. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The GM Renaissance Center Detroit is connected to the hotel by skyway. Other nearby attractions include the Fox Theater, the Joe Louis Arena, home of the Detroit Red Wings hockey team and the Greektown Casino. There are six meeting room for business or social functions. The largest, the Cascade Ballroom, can accommodate 300 guests.

Former guests at this Courtyard were impressed with the spacious, modern rooms that have wood-trimmed bathrooms with marble countertops. The location, within walking distance of so many attractions, was great and the prices reasonable. The employees got good reviews for being efficient and friendly. Most clients said they would return to this hotel on future visits to Detroit and they would recommend the property to their family and friends.

All the guestrooms have a work desk with high-speed Internet access, Internet browser television with cable movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, in-room safe, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and telephone with voicemail and speakerphone.

The hotel has an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool and fitness center. The on-site Sweet Lorraine's Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and room service is available from 6am until 10 pm. There are several restaurants close to the property including the Hockey Town Café, Sweet Georgia Brown’s and the River Café. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes.
