Visiting Boston is a lesson in colonial history and a visit to The Onyx Hotel is no exception. Located in downtown Boston the hotel is four blocks away from Faneuil Hall. Should you time your walk on the Freedom Trail to deliver you to the front steps of Faneuil Hall at lunchtime you will be greeted by an aroma of foods. The hotel is perfectly located to everything great Boston has to offer. North End home to amazing Italian restaurants and the home of Paul Revere is only blocks away. Save space for dessert, Mike's Pastry and Modern Pastry are well worth the wait. The Boston Harbor is a quick 5 minute walk from the hotel. Here you can catch a ferry and tour the harbor or take a ferry to Salem, home to many witches. The Boston Aquarium is on the Harbor. Should you choose to go shopping Newbury Street is a short subway ride away.

The hotel has 112 guest rooms. For guests that want to splurge there are two penthouse suites, where guests can have the entire floor to themselves. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with unique red suede chairs. Inside your room you will find all the amenities to make you feel at home. Internet access is complimentary in the rooms. To keep up with Apple the rooms have IPOD docking stations. Sit back and relax as the newspaper is delivered daily to your room. Should you want an in room massage it can be arranged. Of course the room has plush terry bathrobes and luxurious bath toiletries. Downstairs the Ruby Room is open of breakfast, serving an European style buffet breakfast. irections coming from Logan Airport: Coming from your airport terminal follow the signs toward "Airport Exit". Head towards the "Sumner tunnel" and rt. 93 north. Once your in the tunnel get into the left lane. At the end of the tunnel head towards Government Center. As you are coming up the ramp get into the left lane heading towards Government Center At the end of the ramp take a left onto New Chardon St. Take a right at the set of lights onto Merrimac St. (You will see a Mobil station on your right hand side at this point.) Just after the parking lot, bear right onto Portland St. Once you are on Portland St. you will cross the intersection of "Valenti Way" and just after that the Onyx will be on your right hand side at 155 Portland St. (If you look up you will notice the "Onyx Hotel" banners.) Subway directions from Logan Airport Go to Ground transportation on the lower level Take Shuttle to Airport Station Once at Airport (Blue line) Station, take the subway to "State" stop. Switch over to the orange line and take this to the "North Station" stop. Exit North Station onto Causeway St., make a left on Causeway St. and make your third left onto Portland St. (At the Seven-Eleven) The Onyx is at 155 Portland Street on your left about a half block down. Directions coming from the north on I-93: (93 South) Follow I-93 south to exit 24A for Government Center. As your coming up the off-ramp for exit 24A get into the right lane. At the end of the ramp take your first right onto Clinton St. Once you are on Clinton St., get into the right lane. You will come to a set of lights. Take a left here onto North St. Go up to the set lights at the very end of North St. and take a right turn onto Congress St. Go through two sets of lights and under the garage and notice the Mobil station and parking lot coming up on your right. Just after the parking lot bear right onto "Portland St." Once you are on Portland St. you will cross the intersection of "Valenti Way" and just after that the Onyx will be on your right hand side at 155 Portland St. Directions coming from the south on I-93: (93 North) Follow I-93 north into the underground tunnel and get off at exit 23 "Government Center". Stay to the left as you are coming up the ramp towards "Government Center" and not "North End". Go straight ahead thru the lights onto North St. You will pass the "Millennium Bostonian Hotel" on your right. Go to the end of North St. and take a right on Congress St. Go through two sets of lights and under the garage and notice the Mobil station and parking lot coming up on your right. Just after the parking lot bear right onto "Portland St." Once you are on Portland St. you will cross the intersection of "Valenti Way" and just after that the Onyx will be on your right hand side at 155 Portland St. Directions coming from the north on I-95: Follow I-95 south to I-93 south Follow I-93 south to exit 24A for Government Center. Stay to the left so as not to take Exit 22 Copley Square/Prudential Center. 2.) As you are approaching exit 24B the road forks three ways (for exits 24A, 24B, 24C). Make sure you take exit 24 B for 93 north. Follow I-93 north into the underground tunnel and get off at exit 23 "Government Center". Stay to the left as you are coming up the ramp towards "Government Center" and not "North End". Go straight ahead thru the lights onto North St. You will pass the "Millennium Bostonian Hotel" on your right. Go to the end of North St. and take a right on Congress St. Go through two sets of lights and under the garage and notice the Mobil station and parking lot coming up on your right.
