Customer Reviews for Chandler Inn Hotel

a perfect spot - posted on 04/26/2007

I have stayed at the Chandler twice in recent years.Location seems quite safe and it is within an easy walk of shopping, restaurants, museums, etc. The staff is extremely friendly, courteous and efficient. Should I return to Boston, I will certainly stay there again. Rooms are small but charming.

A good place to stay for a few days - posted on 07/10/2006

I thought the staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The location was key...the historic Back Bay area was beautiful and quaint, and a safe neighborhood (very important!). The hotel could use some updates, and it was small, but it was perfect for my boyfriend and I. We really only slept there, as Boston is such an exciting city. I would recommend it for couples, students, business, etc.

Room and a bed - posted on 03/28/2006

I attended a conference in Boston. Chandler Inn was cheap. Not a lot of space in the room, chair really didn't fit under the desk, but I was hardly there. Cleaning crew was first rate. Everyone else was friendly, but zero amenities.

Perfect for a weekend - posted on 11/02/2005

The Chandler Hotel isn't fancy, but that's not what it's about. It's about having a comfortable place to stay where they'll treat you well, and that's what you get. The rooms are small but comfortable; the bathrooms are tiny. The service is probably the best I have ever had at a hotel, and the bar downstairs pours a generous drink.

South End Convenience - posted on 08/17/2005

Stayed here twice in the past year. If you need a reliable, clean, reasonably priced hotel in the South End, then this is a great option.

Great Deal - posted on 08/02/2005

If all you need is a place to stay Chandler Inn is great. Honestly, Boston is a walking city so you won't spend time in any hotel. Chandler Inn is cheaper then all hotels IN the city and the front desk guy said that they didn't check parking on the weekends on their street. Parking is huge, and they allow pets. Front desk was friendly about my dog and the neighborhood is safe.

Great find - posted on 07/05/2005

A great find! Really helpful staff, pet-friendly, clean, quiet, and a short walk to the T or dozens of great restaurants. Great neighborhood for a stroll. Rooms are "European-style" (i.e. small) but who's sitting in their hotel when Boston's outside? We're returning next month.

old fashioned hotel - posted on 05/22/2005

There is nothing fancy about the Chandler Inn tucked away in a quiet non tourist part of Boston. Yet the location was extremely convienent to the Commons and all the other downtown things we wanted to do. The manager and his staff were helpful , knowledgeable interested and interesting. Their recommendation for dinner was perfect, a pleasant walk of several blocks. We hesitate to recommend this little secret for fear we might ruin a good thing for other budget minded travelers who need to stay in downtown Boston.

Did You Come To Boston To Stay In Your Room? - posted on 10/26/2004

If you did, the Chandler Inn is not for you. It's a basic bedroom, with a basic bathroom. But it has a great staff and a convenient location. If you're coming to Boston for all else it has to offer, the Chandler is a great place to come at the end of the day. We'll be back.
