The failure of the staff to notify me that a fire alarm test was going to be performed the morning of checkout caused me to have to pack and leave in a panic using stairs instead of an elevator. It was not a pleasant way to begin my day. There were no aplologies for the inconvenience and the stress on my heart.

The Courtyard Marriott in Downtown Silver Spring is conveniently located and has many amenities, including free indoor parking! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The room was big, clean and spacious and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel's restaurant did not have a take-out buffet option.

Liked the location (downtown) and the fact that he needed to use his door key to use the elevator, open the door to the parking area, etc. it just shows how security is important to the hotel and it's a good thing for travelers like him. Although not all hotel staff was friendly.

I would definitely recommend the Courtyard Silver Spring Downtown. Online reviewers had plenty of good things to say about this location. Guests thought they received an excellent value for their dollar and were extremely happy with the level of hospitality and service given by the staff. Guests felt welcome and cared for. Guests also enjoyed the fact that they were so close to the local attractions and were glad to have so many dining options in such a close proximity. Guests also enjoyed the delicious breakfast.
