About the Francis Scott Key Motel

Ocean City's Francis Scott Key Family Resort is located on Rt. 50 and is a 1/2 mile from the beach. Families on a budget can enjoy the Francis Scott Key's many amenities and still get to the beach and boardwalk using the free shuttle bus (summer season only). The on-site restaurant and bar, the Marlin Moon Grille, is a local favorite. The resort is close to shopping, restaurants and a free county boat ramp.

The Francis Scott Key Resort offers an affordable vacation for families in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. If you're looking for luxury and elegance though, you may want to keep looking. The rooms are standard with two double beds but they are clean. Your children will make friends with other vacationers at the resort and so will you! You have to drive or take the shuttle bus to get to the beach and boardwalk, but families return year after year to the Francis Scott Key because of the many amenities, affordable prices and wonderful memories. Francis Scott Key Motel Accommodations

You can choose between cottages with two bedrooms, efficiencies with full kitchens or rooms with a compact refrigerator. All rooms also feature the Tempur-Pedic mattresses. Please note, accommodations at the resort are non-smoking.

Amenities offered

You may have a hard time getting your children to go to the beach once they have enjoyed the Caribbean-themed indoor pool! The pool temperature is 82 degrees and has a water slide, spouting whale, dumping buckets and pipe falls. There are also two outdoor pools, 2 hot tubs and an outdoor pool bar. The grounds have volleyball and basketball courts, playground, small arcade, fitness room and a picnic pavilion. For a rainy day, the resort also has a lending library and complimentary DVD and board game rentals. Still not enough to do at the resort? How about playing a game of 18-hole miniature golf (available May 2007)? With a make your own sno-cone machine, Grab N Go Breakfast (summer only), free Internet access in the lobby and a car washing station, the Francis Scott Key Resort has everything to make your family beach vacation fun and relaxing.

Route 1 South to Dover, Delaware (toll road, 2 $1 tolls).
Route 113 South to Berlin, Maryland.
Route 50 East towards Ocean City, Maryland.

From the South:
Interstate 95 North to Emporia Virginia.
Route 58 West to Portsmouth, Virginia.
Follow Signs and cross Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel ($10 Toll).
Route 13 North to Pocomoke, Maryland.
Route 113 North to Berlin, Maryland.
Route 50 East towards Ocean City, Maryland.

From the East:
Atlantic Ocean to Ocean City, Maryland.
Red Buoy #2 Lighted with Bell approximately 1 1/2 miles offshore (lighted every four seconds). Inlet.
Buoys: # 4 Red (lighted every four seconds), #5 Green (lighted every four seconds).
White Light is Jetty Light.

From the West:
Route 50 from Washington, D.C. East.
Over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge ($2.50 toll) to Ocean City, Maryland.
