About the Econo Lodge Oceanblock

The Econo Lodge Oceanblock is located in North Ocean City, just one block from the Delaware line. Sitting less than a block from the beach on 145th Street and Coastal Highway, the lodge is close to movies, restaurants, miniature golf and a small water park. The Econo Lodge has 87 rooms with private balconies or patios. Relax at the heated outdoor pool with a drink from the poolside bar or enjoy breakfast or lunch at the Rio Grande Cafe.

The Econo-Lodge is located away from the crowds of downtown Ocean City, yet within walking distance to several restaurants, the movie theatre, miniature golf courses, and shopping. It's an easy walk to the beach with no roads to cross. The Lodge is not luxurious, but the room rates are good for Ocean City and the hotel is clean and the rooms spacious. Guests enjoy the friendly atmosphere on the pool deck with entertainment during the summer weekends. The beaches are less-crowded at this end of Ocean City and tax-free shopping is just a block away in Delaware. If you plan on spending a lot of time on the boardwalk, this hotel is 9 miles away and the trip down busy Coastal Highway during the summer months can be long and frustrating. Bus service is available across the street. If you stay at the hotel, be sure to have dinner right next door at Nick's House of Ribs and lunch at Surf's Edge, one block north in Fenwick (two favorites!). Read our customer reviews?

Econo Lodge Oceanblock Accommodations

The rooms have two double beds, a sleep sofa, private bath and a fully equipped kitchenette with cookware, utensils, microwave and coffee maker. The rooms also have a table and chairs and is clean and comfortable. Most rooms have a view of the pool area or a peek at the ocean. Non-smoking rooms and wheelchair accessible rooms are available.

Amenities offered

The Econo Lodge has a large heated outdoor pool surrounded by a sundeck with a tiki bar. There is no need to get dressed for lunch since you can dine on the sundeck and enjoy a drink alongside the pool (in season only). Breakfast and lunch are also served indoors at the Rio Grande Cafe. Complimentary Disney and HBO channels are provided as well as daily maid service. Rooms have a retractable partition between the bedroom and sitting area.
